Obituary - Tonie Lynn Clark
Tonie Lynn Clark age 49 of Urich, Missouri departed this life Friday, July 1, 2016 at her home in Urich.
Services are pending under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.

Two arrested in St. Clair County

Wheatland man charged with burglary in St. Clair County

The charges stem from an incident the previous day when St Clair County deputies responded to a burglary in progress on South 17th Street, Collins.
During the investigation it was learned Osborn unlawfully entered a residence armed with three knives. The homeowner, Kimberly Aldridge, arrived home and found Osborn and a female inside her residence. There was evidence several items were gone through in the residence.
The female suspect, Michelle Terrell, 38, Wheatland, was also taken into custody and later released pending a formal charge.
Obituary - Raymond L. McCann
Raymond L. McCann 79, of Raymore, Missouri passed away June 20,
2016 at his home in Raymore. Cremation with private family memorial
services will be held. Arrangements under the direction of Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler, Missouri (660-679-0009).
Raymond Lawrence McCann was born June 3, 1937 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Wilbur and Ada Pauline Green McCann. He grew up in Weld County, Colorado where he enlisted in he US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. During his time in the service he was stationed at Okinawa. Following his honorable discharge in 1957 he was united in marriage to Margaret Esser on November 30, 1957. Raymond worked as an inspector for GM at the Fairfax, Kansas plant for over 30 years, earning the nickname “Big Mac” and retiring in 1992. Following his retirement he built a home and began raising cattle on a farm near Drexel, Missouri. His favorite memories were made on that farm, especially those made with his grandson. Raymond was a long-time member of the Worship Center church in Harrisonville, Missouri. He was very active beginning in 1987, even building a fountain with rocks from his own farm. Raymond moved to Raymore in 2014 to live with his daughter. It was in this home that he was able to say his good-byes surrounded by loving family.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ruth McCann, and by a brother Theodore McCann. He is survived by daughters Mikalyn Knepp of Raymore, MO, and Tracy Hess of Falcon, CO, by a son Raymond McCann, II of Lee’s Summitt, MO, grandchildren, Michael Todd, Hillary Williams, Hannah Hess, Lauren Fracassa, Kristen Knepp, Jonathan Knepp, and Cabryn Dugger, along with five great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their thanks and sincere appreciation for the love and care given to Raymond by Crossroads Hospice.
Suspect Arrested on Assault in Cass County
Cass Co. – On June 30, 2016 around 8:20 pm deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of East 195th Street, Raymore, Missouri regarding a domestic assault of two people. The victim advised that the suspect, their son assaulted them and fled the residence prior to the deputy arriving. At approximately 9:30 pm the victim called and informed dispatchers that the suspect had returned back to the residence and had forced entry.
Cass County Deputies, assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Raymore Police Department secured the area around the residence and attempted to make contact with the subject. Approximately two hours later the suspect was found inside the residence unconscious and was arrested.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he was checked and released. He is currently in the Cass County Jail pending charges.

Rich Hill 4th of July plans in case of rain
Here are the plans in case of rain:
Friday Night: Children's Promenade, Baby Contest and Talent Show will be moved the the Rich Hill HS Dome.
Please enter on southwest side of dome.
The glow run will go on as planned in rain and we will only cancel if there is severe weather or lightning, please dress for the weather the trail is all concrete.
Stay tuned for more information regarding the fireworks and other events planned for the evening of the 4th.

Nevada 4th of July celebration all set
Good music, fireworks and family fun is in store as Vernon County will be treated to the annual Nevada 4th of July celebration at Centennial Park Fairgrounds on Saturday July 2nd.
Food? Yes and plenty of it. Vendors will be set up at the fairgrounds in the afternoon. Fireworks will start at 9:30 pm.
Through the evening hours there will be live music by local artists and Platinum Entertainment.
