Voters encouraged to Vote YES on Proposition 1

Repairs needed on Courthouse
Proposition 1 on the ballot this week is an EXTENSION of the current 1/2 cent sales tax that is currently being used to pay for building the current Jail.

The extension of this tax will go into a dedicated, maintenance fund, not for salaries or vehicles.

The attached photos show where part of the funds will be used. These are just of the Bates County Courthouse.

We want to do everything we can to make certain the Bates County Courthouse stands solid for another 100 years.

Help support the preservation of our county structures by voting 'YES' for Proposition 1.

Remember, this is an EXTENSION of an existing tax, not an additional tax.
