Three teens injured in Cass County crash

Around 10:15pm last night the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Missouri 7 Highway just South of 203rd Street in rural Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 16 year old Destiny T. Bradshaw of Topeka, Kansas attempted to make a right turn when she lost control of the vehicle causing it to traveling off the roadway and striking a culvert.

Destiny T. Bradshaw as well as two passengers in her vehicle 14 year old Esabel A. Helgren and 18 year old Vivica M. Helgren both of Pleasant Hill, Missouri all sustained minor injuries in this accident and all three were transported by ambulance to Children Mercy Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Stevers Tow.

Obituary - Marijane (Holz) Ward

Marijane (Holz) Ward, 70, of rural Clinton, Missouri died Saturday, August 6, 2016 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born January 1, 1946 in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Russell Shilling Holz and Jeannette Marie (Burk) Holz.

Marijane married Gregg Wayne Ward. He preceded her in death in April of 2002.

She was employed as a technology instructor with the Bossier City Community College in Bossier City, Louisiana. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lee's Summit, Mo. Marijane received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri , Columbia, Mo.

She was the proprietor of Winning Colors, LLC, dealing in thoroughbred handicapping. She assisted her significant other Paul Alpers with the Crappie Masters fishing tournaments.

Surviving are one son, Paul Russell Millard and wife Tonja Lynn (Rush), Lee's Summit, Mo.; her mother, Jeannette Marie Holz, Kansas City, Mo.; significant other, Paul Alpers of the home; two sisters, Marjory Jeanne Angevine and husband Kirk, St. Louis, Mo., and Lisa Marie Wasowicz and husband Joe, Moberly, Mo.; three step-daughters, Amber Dawn Sprang and husband Ron, Fort Polk, Louisiana, Corina Lynn Marie Willard, Neosho, Mo., and Cassandra Lea Robinson and husband Casey, Leavenworth, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Ryan Millard, Alex Millard, Jon Millard, Alyssa Millard, Lilli Sprang, Dinneka Sprang, Margaret Sprang, Judah Robinson, Genesis Robinson, and Jett Robinson; three nephews, Michael Wasowicz, Joplin, Mo., Matthew Wasowicz, and Daniel Hooks, Lee's Summit, Mo.; and one niece, Shanna Laseur, Kansas City, Mo.

In addition to her husband Gregg, she was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton.

Graveside services and interment will be at 3:00 p.m., in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Neosho, Mo.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.

Missouri man dies from multiple gunshot wounds; several persons of interest identified

(BIG PINEY, Mo.) - The Pulaski County Sheriff says they have several persons of interests in the death of a man in Big Piney, Missouri.

The man was found dead in his residence around 4:30 p.m. Saturday (8/6/16) afternoon by a friend who had stopped by for a visit. 

The man whose name hasn't been released yet due to notification of the family first died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says no arrests have been made in this case yet, but investigators have several persons of interest identified at this time.

Nevada woman arrested in Vernon County

On 8/6/16 around 5:52pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County arrested 34 year old Monica M. Gardner of Nevada, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Driving While Intoxicated - Drugs 2.) Failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving a crash 3.) Driving While Suspended.

Monica M. Gardner was booked into the Vernon County Jail and is currently listed as bondable.

Rich Hill man arrested in Bates County

 On 8/7/16 around 2:01am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 48 year old John D. Stewart of Rich Hill, Missouri.

Mr. Stewart was arrested for 1.) Driving While Intoxicated.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail and placed on a 12 hour detox hold.

Clinton man life flighted after Henry County crash

Around 3:50pm today the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County along with Henry County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on SW 1339 Road at 18 Highway in rural Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2011 Chrysler driven by 41 year old Michael D. Kruse of Clinton, Missouri ran off the left side of the roadway striking the edge of a driveway and mailbox before striking a tree.

Mr. Kruse sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by Lifeflight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.

The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Golden Valley Tow.

Harrisonville man injured in three vehicle Southern Missouri crash

On 8/6/16 around 9:25am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in McDonald County responded to a three vehicle accident on U.S. 71 Highway around .5 miles North of the Arkansas State Line.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1999 Dodge Ram driven by 29 year old Cory D. Alexander of Carterville, Missouri started sliding and struck the 2000 Honda Odyssey Van driven by 26 year old Juan C. Hernandez - Macias of Fayetteville, Arkansas causing it to strike the rear of the 2013 GMC Arcadia driven by 44 year old James M. Charlton of Harrisonville, Missouri.

Mr. Charlton sustained minor injuries in this accident and he was transported by private vehicle to Mercy Care Clinic in Bella Vista Arkansas.

Two of the vehicle's sustained moderate damages and were towed from the scene by Gardner's Towing of Pineville, Missouri.
