On 8/14/16 around 4:03pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County arrested 25 year old Brandon N. Taylor of Archie, Missouri.
Mr. Taylor was arrested for 1.) Benton County Sheriffs Office Warrant - Larceny 2.) Cass County Sheriffs Office Warrant - Domestic Assault 3rd Degree.
He was booked into the Henry County Jail and placed on no bond.

Funeral services for Patrick Lloyd Oates of Adrian, Missouri will be 10
a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Adrian Optimist Building in
Adrian, Missouri under the direction of the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel
(660-679-6555) Butler, Missouri. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery,
Adrian.

Patrick
Lloyd Oates, age 85 of Adrian, Missouri died Saturday, August 13, 2016
at his home in Adrian. He was born August 29, 1930 to William Scott
Oates Jr. and Stella Mann Oates.
Patrick is survived by his wife,
Mary Lee Oates of Adrian, Missouri; three sons, William Scott Oates and
wife Janet of Adrian, Missouri, Jerry Dean Oates and wife Cindi of
Raymore, Missouri and Phillip Wayne Oates and wife Sherri of Adrian,
Missouri; one daughter, Patricia Ann Boyles and husband Joe of Rich
Hill,Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wesley Oates; and two
sisters, Betty Jacobs and Leta Mae Gates.
On 8/14/16 around 6:10pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle rollover accident on Route A at Route V in the Hume area of Bates County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2016 Jeep driven by 56 year old Cynthia L. Pultz of Hume, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a telephone pole causing the vehicle to overturn.
Cynthia L. Pultz sustained moderate injuries in this accident and she was transported by Bates County EMS to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The vehicle received extensive damage and it was towed from the scene by Don's Tow of Butler, Missouri.

JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) A 26-year-old Joplin man is charged in two counties with shooting at two vehicles and wounding six people, including one man who was in critical condition.
Prosecutors in Jasper and Newton counties on Saturday charged Tom S. Mourning II of Joplin with multiple counts of armed criminal action, first-degree felony assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Joplin Police spokesman Capt. Bob Higginbotham says four people in a church van were wounded around 5:10 a.m. Saturday when Mourning opened fire on their vehicle at a Joplin intersection. Police say Mourning then drove 10 blocks and shot at a pickup truck stopped at another intersection, wounding two people.
The incident ended at 5:22 a.m. when Mourning stopped and surrendered to police.
It was unclear if Mourning had obtained an attorney overnight.

Missouri with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.

from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday immediately prior to services at the

Carl F. Goddard, age 90 of Butler,
Missouri died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Bates County Memorial Hospital
in Butler. He was born November 6, 1925 to Earl William and Nora Velona
Umstattd Goddard in Bates County, Missouri.
Carl is survived by
his wife, Norma J. Goddard of Butler, Missouri; a son, Larry Goddard and
wife Linda of Liberty, Missouri; two daughters, Elaine Wells and
husband Ted and Sherrie Weller and husband Rodger all of Brentwood,
Tennessee; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Carl was
preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a daughter, Gloria
Jean Goddard.
James A. Wheatley, Rich Hill, passed away Saturday, August 13, at Breezy Meadows in Butler. He was 98. Arrangements are under direction of the Heuser Funeral Home, Rich Hill, and services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill.
The family receives friends between six and seven o'clock Monday evening, August 15, at Heuser Funeral Home.
Memorials either to the Rich Hill United Methodist Church, the Mark Wheatley Scholarship Fund or the Bates County Museum are suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.
