Thunderstorms Possible Today & Tonight

Thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region today and persist into tonight. The threat, and ultimate extent, from today's storms will be dependent on cloud cover; more cloud cover equals weaker storms. There will be a threat of severe weather with these storms today and tonight as large hail, damaging winds and torrential rain may accompany the strongest storms; though isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out.

The area’s most at risk for severe weather today and tonight will be along and north of a line from northern Kansas City, in west central Missouri, to Princeton, in north central Missouri starting this afternoon.
