Former Butler man arrested on St. Clair County Warrant

The original charge stems from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on May 27 when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on in the Tifin area for speeding.
Obituary - June Wheatley
June Wheatley, age 97 of Rich Hill, MO passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 at Breezy Meadows in Butler, MO. Funeral Services will be held Monday September 26th at 2:00pm at the Heuser Funeral Home in Rich Hill with burial in the Green Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 1-2pm.
The family suggest memorial contributions to the Rich Hill United Methodist Church, Papinville Historical and Cemetery Association or the McGennis Youth Center c/o Heuser Funeral Home.
June is survived by daughter Donnis and Jim Grundy of Springfield, MO and step-grandson, Mark and Karen Grundy.
Obituary - Mildred Irene Monsell
Mildred Irene Monsell, 96, formerly of Nevada, MO passed away on September 20, 2016 in Richmond, VA. Mildred was born February 4, 1920 in Waynoka, OK to Joseph Harrison and Emma D. (Miles) Barrett. Mildred graduated from Nevada High School 1938. On August 1, 1942 she married Charles Aaron Monsell in Kansas City, KS. The couple moved to Tonasket, WA in 1958 where they ran an apple orchard until his death in 1976. Mildred moved from Tonasket to live near her son where she continued to live until her death. Mildred worked as a Hospital Housekeeper Supervisor. She was the past President of American Legion Auxiliary, past President of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Past District Deputy of F.O.E., and Past Nobel Grand of Rebecca’s. Mildred loved to fish, crochet, and play pool. She was Captain of the Eagles Drill Team for 15 years during which time her team won 1st and 2nd place at Eagles Convention, and also won lots of 1st places at local and county parades Survivors include two children; a son, Charles W. Monsell, Spotsylvania, VA; and a daughter, Peggy June Ricciuto, Florida Keys, FL. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Eaton and brothers, Roy Barrett, and Chester Barrett. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in the Ferry Funeral Home. A private burial service will follow in Click Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Jennifer Lynn Herren, 40, Peculiar, Missouri, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Trenton, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25 at the First Baptist Church in Peculiar with visitation from 1:00-2:00.

Hay bales burnt in Rockville
On Sept. 22, a St.
Clair County deputy took a report on SW 1075 Road, Rockville, in
reference to hay bales being burnt. When the deputy arrived Taberville Volunteer Fire Department was on scene and the burning bales were extinguished and removed from the rows.
Michael Hallford reported the bales of hay were purposely torched by someone. Evidence was collected.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Mullinax Funeral Home (660-679-0009) in Butler with Bro. Bill Perkey officiating. There is no visitation. Interment with U.S. Marine Corps Honors will follow in Double Branch Cemetery.

Robert Lee Wheatley was born March 22, 1927 in Bates County, Missouri, son of Bert A. and Byrdie (Nehring) Wheatley. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Kauffman on November 9, 1953.
Bob is best remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His world revolved around his wife and his daughter – that is, until the football game came on. You could spend time with him then, but it had to be watching the game!
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Dorothy on September 28 of 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Wheatley; and his grandchildren, Alexandra and Scott Aldridge.
