Vernon County Man arrested after making bomb threats to FBI

Jonathan Randolph
Charges were filed against a Vernon County man Wednesday morning after he allegedly called the FBI and demanded someone come to his door within an hour to talk to him about an issue he had in Jasper County involving his child.

According to officials, Jonathan Randolph, 28, of Horton Mo, has been charged with making a terroristic threat after he allegedly stated he would start blowing things up if someone did not listen to him.

Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said Randolph was taken into custody shortly after the threats were made. “Mr. Randolph was located very quickly after his phone call to the FBI office and was taken into custody by Nevada Police.”

The Sheriff said his office investigated the incident in cooperation with the Nevada Police Department, and several other agencies. “We take any threats made to the public very serious” said Mosher. Randolph is being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
