Obituary - Edna Althea Schmoll

Althea was a 1941, Pleasant Hill High School graduate. On November 10, 1941, she was united in marriage to Ernest C. Schmoll, Sr., in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1997.
Althea worked at Western Electric for 15 years before leaving to become a full time homemaker in the late 1960’s. She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, gardening, and canning. She especially loved going to the Big Creek country show.
Althea was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John Rice, Harold Rice, Carl “Jr.” Rice, and Eugene Rice; and three sister’s Eva Darbison, Lillian Seebeck, and Dorothy Pierce.
She is survived by her son, E.C. Schmoll, Jr. of Pleasant Hill; two daughters, Bonnie Epps of Grandview, and Joyce Kirk of Harrisonville; 11 grandchildren; 24, great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at the funeral home. Reverend David Hackett will officiate. Music will be rendered by Mr. Dennis Dittemore. Interment will be in the Staley Mound Cemetery. Casket bearers are Logan Cornell, Jan Davisson, Ken Davisson, David Kirk, E.C. Schmoll, III, and John Sparks.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Staley Mound Cemetery and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

He married Nila Lee Roush in Bentonville, Arkansas on July 31, 1952. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2015.
Herb was a longtime member of Lucas United Methodist Church, south of Urich. He also had served as the church treasurer, chairperson of the Administrative Council, and was involved in the Lucas Men's Club. Upon moving to Peculiar, Herb has been attending the Peculiar United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Ingham Morgan American Legion #371 of Urich, where he was a Past Commander, and Bingo chairperson for the Legion. He was also a past treasurer for the Mingo Township. He and Nila enjoyed following their children and grandchildren's school activities. They both enjoyed playing cards, specifically pitch, and traveling.
Surviving are one son, Phillip E. Howard and wife Kellie, Urich, Mo.; two daughters, Jeanne M. Jewell and husband York, Peculiar, Mo., and Jacque E. Howard, Raytown, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Erin E. Jewell Burks, D.O., and husband Bryan, Peculiar, Mo., Brad G. Jewell, Peculiar, Mo., Lauren T. Jewell, Peculiar, Mo., Logan T. Howard and wife Kayla, Urich, Mo., Landon T. Howard, Urich, Mo., Leven T. Howard, Urich, Mo., and Grant T. Howard, Raytown, Mo.; four great-grandchildren, James Howard and Abby Howard, Urich, Mo., and Morgan Lee Burks and Noah Franklin Burks, Belton, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Nila, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Franklin Howard and Loyd Dean Howard; and two sisters, Mildred Irene Tygart and Hazel Frances Hunt.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Lucas United Methodist Church, southwest of Urich, Mo. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., just prior to the funeral service. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mullin Cemetery or the Peculiar United Methodist Church, Peculiar, Mo., and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home.
Butler man arrested on Kansas Warrant
On 11/9/16 around 10:39pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 30 year old Darren S. Venneman of Butler, Missouri.
Mr. Venneman was arrested for 1.) Felony Johnson County Kansas Sheriff's Office Warrant.
He was booked into the Bates County Jail and placed on no bond.

Kansas man arrested in Bates County
On 11/9/16 around 10:56pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County 25 year old Cole J. Niebaum of Louisburg, Kansas.
He was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance 2.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia 3.) Driving While Suspended 4.) Failure to register motor vehicle.
Mr. Niebaum was booked into the Bates County Jail and later released.

Darryl Vincent Stuhlman, age 66, Parker, Kansas passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born on August 16, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Arthur and Norma Strohmenger Stuhlman. He graduated from Raytown South High School. He married Linda McDermott on July 15, 1970 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa, Kansas. He was an Army Veteran serving the United States of America in Vietnam. Darryl worked as a diesel mechanic before retiring. Darryl was a man of the Catholic Faith. He and Linda were looking forward to becoming members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mound City after their relocation to Linn County since retiring. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and target shooting. He liked to practice with both long arms and pistols. He was preceded in death by his parents. Darryl is survived by wife, Linda, two sons, Jeff Stuhlman and Dennis Stuhlman and wife Colleen, daughter, Rebecca Winegar and husband Billy, two brothers, Brian and Mark Stuhlman, three sisters: Barbara Hawes, Donna Reagan, and Susan Sellon, and three grandchildren: Courtney(21), Delaney(10), and Addison (due November 27, 2016).
The rosary will be prayed at 11 am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mound City, Kansas. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30 am. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. The family suggests contributions to the St Philippine Memorial Park in care of Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, Kansas 66056. Billie was born on September 21, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to William Bedford Boone and Roberta Hazel Swallow. She graduated from high school, completed two years of college, and worked as an RN for many years. Billie loved spending time with family. She was a Harry Potter and Star Wars fanatic. She enjoyed adult coloring books, loved her Bible study group, and loved to cook and sew.
Among survivors are her three daughters; Roberta A. (Manny) Oropeza of Clinton, Missouri, Lydia (John) Dalton of Appleton City, Missouri, and Shelley (Tim) Elliott of Deepwater, Missouri, two sisters; Barbara Eastwood of Boulder Colorado, and Cheryl Suazo of Boulder Colorado, a neice; Emily, 12 grandchildren; Virgil, Justin, Nick, Kelley, Kyle, Matthew, Brandon, Autumn, Dakota, Danielle, Whitney, and Lacey, and 13 great-grandchildren; Truman, Gavin, Madelynn, Gabriela, Daniel, Karolyne, Thomas, Loralai, Shooter, Stella, Skyler, Luke, and Lane.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and great-grandaughter Kimber.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
