Adrian Optimist Club MoCHIP Event

Mark your calendars for Saturday January 7th. The Adrian Optimist Club will be helping the Crescent Hill Lodge 368 and the Amsterdam Lodge 141 host a MoCHIP Event. This is something that all children up to 21 years of age should complete. ALL RECORDS are kept by the parent, nothing is kept by the Foundation except the permission form.

The Adrian Optimist Club will be hosting a FREE Movie at 2pm at the conclusion of the MoCHIP Event. Please come out and attend this event.

Clifton D. “Dale” Perkins

Clifton D. “Dale” Perkins, 54 of Worland, Missouri passed away December 1, 2016 at his home. 

Cremation, with family memorial services at a later time. 

Cremation under the direction of the Mullinax Funeral Home in Butler (660-679-0009).

I want to personally thank everyone who came out to the City Park on Friday or dropped donations by the office. 

The fund raiser went EXTREMELY well and I am proud of my community. I would also like to give thanks to CTC Transportation Insurances Services out of Butler for the amazing donation of $1,500.

The wonderful people there advised me that they had a fund raiser that went very well, and are very pleased to donate to the bicycle for Christmas fund. 

Again thank you to all of those who have donated. I hope everyone is amazed at the wonderful community we live in as I am..

Children’s Center in Butler gets toy donations

On Friday, Dec. 2nd the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office received a donation of dolls, stuffed animals, coloring books, and games from Toys “R” Us, on East Battlefield Road, Springfield, Mo. 

The items were donated for use at the Children’s Center, Butler, Mo. which services St. Clair, Henry, and Bates counties. Sheriff Scott A. Keeler, right, presents the donations to Child Advocate Amy Kaelke. 

The Children’s Center is a child advocacy center that aids law enforcement and other multidisciplinary team agencies in the investigation of child abuse.

Theft report in rural Amoret

On December 3, 2016 a Deputy responded to County Road 7001 in Amoret, MO to take a theft report.

The reporting party stated that they were gone from their residence for about 5 hours that evening. When they returned they found tire tracks that led to their barn. They found that there were 9 cases of Moon Travel bottle rockets missing from their barn. 

He believed that it could possibly have been teenagers that took them because nothing else was stolen from the barn.

The cases of bottle rockets have a serial number of 43F277/091/11 and an item number of 0440S located on them. They are valued at approximately $450.00.

Tammy Lynn Christiansen

Tammy Lynn Christiansen, 42, Harrisonville, Missouri, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonville Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 367, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Tammy was born March 7, 1974 in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Martin and Terry (Fischell) Christiansen. She was a 1992 graduate of Harrisonville High School. Tammy was medically discharged from the U.S. Navy. She worked at Taco Bell in Harrisonville. Tammy loved her dog, “Boog”. 

She loved to read and draw, and spend time with her nieces and nephews. She always tried to help others when she could, and she helped take care of a special friend, Bryon Pennington, of East Lynne, Missouri. Tammy was a very outgoing person; she loved people. She didn’t know a stranger.

Tammy was preceded in death by a nephew, Jase Williams, her maternal grandmother, Pat James and step-grandfather, Loren, and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Doris Christiansen. She is survived by her father, Martin Christiansen and stepmother, Lisa, East Lynne, Missouri; her mother, Terry Crowley, Clarinda, Iowa; her dog, “Boog”; three sisters, Sheralyn Morris (Chad), Belton, Missouri, Kylie Christiansen, East Lynne, Missouri, Jennifer Christiansen, Pleasant Hill, Missouri; two brothers, Rick Baxter, St. Joseph, Missouri and Jason Williams, Kansas City, Missouri; her maternal grandfather, Ralph Fischell and step-grandmother, Barbara, Clarinda, Iowa; special aunt, Samm Henness, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gray's Cafe has relocated to 200 S. Old 71 Highway in Adrian and is OPEN for business today Monday, December 5th starting at 6 am.

The owners would like to thank everyone for their patience and look forward to serving you from their new location.
