Clinton woman arrested on multiple warrants and drug possession

On 3/16/17 around 10:32pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County arrested 42 year old Cassandra A. Hood of Clinton, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance ( Methamphetamine) 2.) Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia 3.) False Impersonation 4.) Felony Henry County Sheriffs Office Warrants X4 5.) Felony Bates County Sheriff's Office Warrants X2 6.) Felony Jackson County Sheriffs Office Warrant 7.) Misdemeanor Raymore Police Department Warrants X2.

Cassandra A. Hood was booked into the Henry County Jail and she is currently listed as bondable.

Fatal Fire in Rural Pleasant Hill

Cass Co. – Detectives with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office along with the Central Cass County Fire Protection District and Missouri State Fire Marshall's Office are investigating a fatal fire reported around 1:21 a.m. Friday morning in rural Pleasant Hill. Deputies arrived on scene in the 20000 block of E. 203rd Street shortly after an occupant of the residence reported the fire. Deputies found a single story residence engulfed in smoke.

Firefighters with the Central Cass County Fire Protection District arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. Neighboring fire departments also responded to the scene for mutual-aid. Fire personnel advised that the body of a deceased individual was located inside the residence. Fire Investigators with the Central Cass County Fire Protection District and Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Detectives will work the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a positive identification of the victim. There were no other reported injuries at the scene.

Obituary - Stella Jones

Service plans are incomplete at this time. Stella Jones, age 83, daughter of George and Eunice L. (Frey) Foster, was born August 31, 1933 in Appleton City, Missouri. 

She departed this life surrounded by her loving family March 16, 2017 at Appleton City Manor Nursing Home.

The family requests any memorial donations be given to help with funeral expenses. Donations may be left at Hill & Son Funeral Home or given to Darrell.
