Marcia L. Minneman, 70, of Butler, Missouri passed away March 23, 2017 at her home in Butler. Cremation, with a memorial visitation to be held Sunday March 26, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). There will be no service.

Marcia Lou Minneman was born January 4, 1947 in Centerville, Iowa to Posy and Eunice DeWitt Robbins. Marcia was united in marriage to Glen Junior Minneman in May of 1964. To this union three children were born. Marcia enjoyed her time volunteering at Bates County Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a loving caretaker to family and will always be remembered for her lively personality.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 47 years, Glen Minneman, son Christopher Micheal Minneman, brother Roy Robbins, and brothers-in-law, Dannie and Earl Minneman. She is survived by her daughter Ginger Eubank and husband Rob of Wasilla, AK, daughter Deanna Mayer and Fiancé Yanni Liakakos of Butler, MO, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Shirley Minneman of Hulburt, OK, sister-in-law Annette Minneman of Muskogee, OK, sister Kay Volesky of Minneapolis, KS, sister Georgia Robbins of Hutchinson, KS, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
- April 8th starting at 11:00 am Breezy Meadows will be having a hunt. The Easter Bunny will be on location for pictures. This is a free event located at 416 S. High Street.
- April 15th starting at 1:00 pm Medicalodge will be hosting a hunt. The residents will also be passing out treats to the children. This is a free event located at 103 E. Nursery.
- April 16th starting at 1:00 pm The Butler Lions Club will hold the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the baseball field. This is for children ages pre-school through fourth grade.

Samuel Benton Coale, 68 of Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Samuel was born October 2, 1948 in Nevada, MO to William B. and Wilma Lois (Phipps) Coale.
Samuel grew up in Nevada. He loved going to McDonalds, playing with Hot Wheels, listening to country music, and celebrating all Holidays. Samuel never met a stranger. He was always happy to visit with anyone who came to see him.
Survivors include one sister, Connie Marie Connelly and her husband Russell, Nevada; nieces, Toni Wooldridge and her husband Dale, Nevada, Sherrie Weber and her husband Bruce, Nevada, Teresa Wright and her husband Darryl, Nevada; nephew, Clay Coale and his wife Bonnie, Nevada; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Gene Coale and his wife Betty; and one great-nephew, Jason Coale.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Dennis Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.

Shirley J. Foster, age 83, of Montrose, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at her home.
Among survivors are daughters, Caroline Crouthers of Montrose and Cathy Crouthers of Colleyville, Texas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri and are pending at this time.
Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, assisted in ending a riot that broke out late Thursday night at the Johnson County Jail in Centerview, Missouri.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office posted to its Facebook page around 10:30 p.m. Thursday that a riot began in one of the pods and the office had requested assistance from neighboring counties and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. At that time the inmates were contained inside the building.
Less than two hours later, the office posted an update at 12:15 a.m. notifying the public the riot had been resolved.
