Osceola man arrested in Henry County

On 3/27/17 around 12:08pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Henry County, Missouri arrested 45 year old Chad E. McFarland of Osceola, Missouri.

Mr. McFarland was arrested for 1.) Felony Driving While Intoxicated - Persistent Offender 2.) Felony Driving While Suspended 3.) Speeding.

He was booked into the Henry County Jail and placed on a 10,000 Cash/Surety bond.

Lees Summit man arrested in Bates County

On 3/27/17 around 2:55pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 21 year old Ivan R. Gray of Lees Summit, Missouri.

Mr. Gray was arrested for 1.) Two Misdemeanor Warrants - Polk County Missouri Sheriff's Office 2.) Speeding.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail and is currently listed as bondable.

Obituary - Bill D. Osborne

Bill D. Osborne
Bill D. Osborne, 85, Lee's Summit, Missouri departed this life on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Jefferson Health Care Center, Lee's Summit, Missouri surrounded by love and family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Helen L. Osborne of the home; four daughters, Pam Spies and husband Timothy, Lee's Summit, Missouri, Karen Wendel and husband Jim, Grandview, Missouri, Wanda Ennis and husband Terry, Karla Montgomery and husband Kevin all of Lee's Summit, Missouri; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Julia Harris, Greenwood, Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Stanley-Dickey Funeral Home, Pleasant Hill, Missouri with military service and burial in the Oak Ridge Memory Gardens, Independence, Missouri.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the funeral home.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Obituary - Roxana Robinson

Roxana Robinson, 68, rural El Dorado Springs, MO (Vernon County) passed from this life on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Roxana was born June 21, 1948 in Nevada, MO to Charles Woodrow and Theda Harriet (Downey) Wilson. She was united in marriage to John Robinson on July 27, 1973 in Miami, OK and he survives of the home.

Roxana grew up in Nevada and attended Nevada High School graduating with the Class of 1966. Following high school she attended Cottey College for two years. For a number of years she worked as a Life Guard at Nevada City Swimming Pool at Radio Springs Park. Roxana also worked at 3M in Nevada for 25 years until her retirement. She was an avid softball player for many years. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband John she is survived by one son Colby Robinson and his wife Elba, Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Robert Hinojosa and his wife Kristy, Robin O’Brien and her husband Sean, Stephanie Hamilton and her husband Corey; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Woody Wilson and his wife Linda, Bronaugh; one sister, Sherri Brennan, Lamar; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Casie in 1999.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested in her memory to Vernon County Cancer Relief in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.





Obituary - Remington Jade “Remi” Craft

Remington Jade “Remi” Craft, infant daughter of Kaleigh and Brandon Craft, and sister of Kaiden, Addisyn, and Gracelyn Craft, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in her mother’s arms. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Mullinax Funeral Home (660-679-0009) in Butler. There will be no visitation. Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions are suggested toward Remington’s Heart, to be used for babies born with congenital heart defects.
