Items stolen from vehicle during church service
On April 30, a St Clair County deputy took a report from Katherine Poort in reference to someone stealing items out of her vehicle while she was at church. Poort stated she was attending services at the Park Grove Christian Church on NN Highway, Deepwater, and did not lock her vehicle.
When she went to leave, she noticed someone stole two sets of keys and a small wallet from the vehicle. The total value of the missing items was estimated at $105. A suspect was named.
Property damage reported in Appleton City
On April 30, St. Clair County deputies responded to a trailer on East Burbank Street, Appleton City in reference property damage.
The trailer occupied by Kayla Carter, Zach Bean, and Ashley Carter had the skirting kicked in around the bottom and a window was broke out. During the investigation a suspect was named.
The good news and the bad news
This weeks forecast has some Good news and some Bad news. The Bad news comes first with more Rain moving into the area tonight through most of the day Wednesday for areas along and south of the Missouri River.
The additional 1-2" of precipitation may result in additional flooding so be cautious if you live in areas that have already seen flooding this past weekend.
The Good news is that the entire area will see plenty of sunshine this weekend with temperatures in the upper 60s to mid 70s so break out those sunglasses and enjoy!

Seach warrant served in Eldorado Springs Missouri

The investigation resulted in the arrests of Stephanie M. Meek, 39, and Jason W. Holloway, 20, of El Dorado Springs, on the Probable Cause of Keeping and Maintaining a Public Nuisance, and Possession of Amphetamine Drug Paraphernalia.

Mr. Holloway was also charged with Damage to Jail Property. Officers completed Probable Cause Statements for these charges.They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.
Also arrested was Chayne R. Bittner (Not Pictured), 41, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Court Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of a non-moving violation with a $501.80 cash bond. He was transferred to the Nevada Police Department.

Medical call in Eldorado Springs involving a explosive device
On May 1, 2017, officers responded to 119 West Field Street concerning a report of a medical emergency resulting from the detonation of an improvised explosive device. Officers located a 15 year old male with an amputation injury to his left hand and injuries to his left upper leg.
Officers began basic first aid while awaiting a delayed ambulance response. The victim was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, for treatment. The investigation revealed that a CO2 cartridge filled with gun powder detonated in the victim's left hand due to a static electrical discharge, igniting the powder within the cartridge.
It is imperative for parents and children to understand the importance of preventing these types of accidents. Never experiment with homemade explosive or improvised explosive devices. Personnel who have received advance training in Explosive Ordinance Deposal are injured or kill in their line of work even after receiving advance training. These explosive devices are illegal to manufacture, possess, and detonate.
