Harrisonville man arrested in Cass County
On 2/7/18 around 5:02pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County arrested 48 year old Jeffrey A. Ladd of Harrisonville, Missouri.
Mr. Ladd was arrested for 1.) Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine 2.) Felony Cass County Warrant 3.) Misdemeanor Harrisonville Police Department Warrants (X3).
Jeffrey A. Ladd was booked into the Cass County Jail in Harrisonville and he is currently listed as bondable.

Bates County Coroner's Office Activity Report 1/15-1/31-2018
Activity Report for the period January 15-31, 2018:
· 3 Nursing Home/Hospice type deaths were reported for the period. All cases were reviewed with none requiring further investigation.
· On January 26, the Coroner was called to Bates County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department per protocol. Mr. Robert Skocy was pronounced by ER personnel with the death being of natural causes.
On January 31 at 3:35 PM the Coroner was called to a rural residence near Appleton City in Bates County. Mr. James Hough was pronounced by Coroner Greg Mullinax with death being due to natural causes

Obituary - Phyllis Glee Puckett
Phyllis Glee Puckett passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the age of 83. She was surrounded by her family at Golden Valley Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Lee Puckett, 2 brothers Glen and Charles Cooper and a grandson Jake Richman.
Phyllis is survived by five children: Paul and Karen Puckett of Harrisonville, Missouri, Douglas and Linda Puckett of Olathe, Kansas, Norman and Sabrina Puckett from Mazon, Illinois, Diane and Mark Richman from Holden, Missouri, Kenneth and Joyce Puckett from Clinton, Missouri, 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
Phyllis was born in August of 1934, the daughter of Harley and Edith Cooper. She married Alvin Puckett on March 29, 1952. They enjoyed raising their 5 children while traveling, camping and enjoying life in general.
Phyllis accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age and was a member of Northeast Baptist Church in Clinton.
Funeral service will be on Monday, February 12 at 2pm with visitation one hour prior to the service at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton.
