Officer Involved Shooting In Clinton

The Clinton Police Department along with other multiple police agencies are on scene of a officer involved shooting around the area of Orchard and Grandriver Streets in Clinton at this time.

Please avoid this area as there is a heavy police presents and roads being shut down. 

Three police officers are said to be injured at this time. One of them with minor injuries and another one with unknown injuries. A third Police Officer has died due to injuries sustained in this incident.

A suspect was found dead inside a home on Grand River Street. The shooting is seven months to the day since Clinton police officer Gary Michael was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Obituary - Jimmy L. Mosley

Jimmy L. Mosley age 85 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Harrisonville, Missouri surrounded with love and family.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Helen of the home; a son, Rickey Longacre of Independence, Missouri; three daughters, Jamie Mosley of Harrisonville, Missouri, Rebecca Mosley of Harrisonville, Missouri; and Terri Schindler and her husband Rick of Harrisonville, Missouri; a brother, Richard Mosley of Kingland, Texas; a sister, Rae Patterson of Garden City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Beth, Carin, Alex, and Randy; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Abiding Love Baptist Church, Harrisonville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Missouri.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made t the Abiding Love Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Services are under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri.

Obituary - Robert P. Glynn

Robert P. Glynn, 90, Walker, Mo passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Bob was born December 31, 1927 at the family home in rural Malvern Iowa, second son of Paul and May Glynn.

Bob attended Spring Valley country school thru the 8th grade. Then completed his high school education @ Tabor High School, graduating with the class off 1946.

On October 5, 1946, Bob married the love of his life Marjorie Hofmockel at the Christian church in Elliott Iowa. Bob was baptized on May 4, 1954 at the Christian Church in Tabor Iowa.

Bob and Marjorie raised their four children on their farm in Mills County Iowa. They lived and worked on that farm row cropping and raising cattle and hogs until 1975 when they purchased a ranch at Edwards Missouri. In 1986 they moved to a farm near Taborville, Missouri before settling on their home north of Walker Missouri in 1994.

Bob was a man who took great pride in his family - frequently heard to say "there's not a bad on in the bunch."

In 1986 Bob and Marjorie traveled to England to visit the White Park cattle herds, that sparked Bob's passion for breeding White Park cattle which he continued to do until his death.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother John; and wife Marjorie.

He is survived by his four children - Kathy (Bob) Seipold, Council Bluffs Iowa; Vicki ((Denny)Schroeder, Malvern Iowa; Mike (Kay) Glynn, Hastings Iowa; Lora (Mike) O'Donnell Edwards Missouri. Grandchildren - Tara Seipold, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Renae Seipold, Omaha, Nebraska; Ryan (Carrie) Schroeder, Omaha Nebraska; Amy (Nik) Sharp Farmington, Minnesota; Beth (James) Shepard, Council Bluffs, Iowa; John (Kelsie) Glynn, Muscatine, Iowa; Sarah (Tyler) Fonseca, Fort Drum, New York; Travis (Alyson) Glynn, Muscatine, Iowa; Michael (Melissa) O'Donnell, O"Fallon, Missouri; Bridgett (Jason) Glover, Columbia, Illinois; 20 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Dick (Pat) Hofmockel; nieces.


Private memorial service will be held at a later date in Iowa.

Search Warrant Served In Appleton City

On March 1, David Wareham, 56, Appleton City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

The arrest comes after the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on East 5th St. in Appleton City. 

During the search, a marijuana pipe and a straw with a white crystal like residue, were found in a office room that Wareham controlled. The straw tested positive for methamphetamine.
