Clinton man arrested for shooting into Warsaw Bar

On 09/21/2018 Robert P. Schapeler 68, of Clinton MO was arrested at his residence after an altercation at the Hidden Lakes Restaurant and Bar in rural Warsaw.

At approximately 2230 hours, deputies responded to the business at the request of the owner for threats received. The owner stated a man, later identified as Schapeler, was upset over a pool game and claimed he was going to return to the business and kill everyone.

No persons were injured during the shooting and Schapeler was taken into custody in Henry County without incident. Henry County Deputies armed with a search warrant were able to recover Schapeler’s vehicle, the shotgun with buckshot and a rifle.

Charges were files for ARMED CRIMINAL ACTION, ASSAULT 1ST DEGREE, UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON AND PROPERTY DAMAGE 1ST DEGREE.

Mr. Schapeler is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $200,000 bond

Adrian goes 5-0 on the season after defeating Rich Hill 58-12 on Friday, September 24. The Blackhawks hit the road on Friday, September 28 to play the Archie Whirlwinds.
Coach Cochran Comments on the game:
Comments:

This was a good win for us. We tried to do some different things offensively in the first half. We needed to work on a few things. We went back to what we do in the second half. Offensively, I was pretty happy with our effort. We just need to work on our passing game. Defensively, we were again very good except for two plays. Their RB is one of the fastest, if not the fastest kid, in the state at our level.

If he gets out in the open, you aren't going to catch him. Fortunately, that only happened once. Overall, we played well. The rest of our regular season schedule isn't easy. Every team we play will be tough. We have to focus on Archie this week. It's a road game for us, and they will give us their best game. They always do.

Every time we've played them in recent memory it has been a TD or less game. We have to go in focused and ready. A big crowd would be a huge plus for us.
