Osceola woman seriously injured in St. Clair County motorcycle crash

On 5/5/19 around 11:58am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a one vehicle motorcycle accident on Missouri 82 Highway around 3 miles west of Osceola, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1994 Honda Shadow Motorcycle driven by 44 year old Tricia L. Cochran of Osceola, Missouri crossed the center line of the roadway, went off the left side of the roadway and overturned ejecting the driver.

Tricia L. Cochran sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri for treatment.

The bike was totaled and towed from the scene of the crash by private party.

These storms could be strong to severe initially, but will weaken and may start to fall apart as they head southeast tonight.

Walker woman seriously injured in St. Clair County Motorcycle Crash

On 5/4/19 around 10:35am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County responded to a one vehicle motorcycle accident on Route DD around 3 miles northeast of Eldorado Springs, Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2001 Harley Davidson Road King driven by 50 year old Tina T. Taylor of Walker, Missouri was attempting to avoid another vehicle causing the bike to overturn and skid across the roadway.

Tina T. Taylor sustained serious injuries in this accident and she was transported by ambulance to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri for treatment.

The bike received moderate damages and it was towed from the scene by a private tow.

McDonald County man arrested in Bates County

John Peltz
On 5/4/19 around 11:24pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 47 year old John Peltz of McDonald County, Missouri.

Mr. Peltz was arrested for 1.) Felony Driving While Intoxicated 2.) Driving While Revoked.

He was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and is currently being held on a $3,000 cash/surety bond.

One dead after shooting in Clinton

On 05/04/2019 at 8:42 pm, Clinton Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 500 Block of South Carter Street where they discovered a subject who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite life saving measures administered by responding officers, Jonathan Joseph Nahrstedt, age 24, of Warsaw, MO was transported to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Emergency Room via ambulance where he was pronounced deceased.

Jeremy Dalton Schley, age 21, of Clinton, was arrested at the scene and was held in the Henry County Jail on a 24 hours investigative hold while the investigation continues.

Clinton Police Detectives were still interviewing witnesses and examining evidence at the time of this press release. Schley has not been formally charged with any crime yet.

Clinton Police Officers and Detectives were assisted at the scene by Henry County Sheriff’s Deputies.
