Obituary - Ronald “Mad Dog” Eugene Steinmetz

Ronald Steinmetz, 65 of Butler, Missouri passed away May 9, 2019 at his home in Butler. Cremation, with memorial services scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Calvary Lutheran Church, 7500 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.

Ronald “Mad Dog” Eugene Steinmetz was born October 4, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas to Carl and Anna Radcliff Steinmetz. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and following graduation Ron joined the US Navy. In 1979 he was united in marriage to Theresa “Tish” Smith.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Tish Steinmetz, daughter Krista Steinmetz-Spaeth, granddaughters, Candy Isabella Spaeth and Kayla Aubrey Riggs, brothers Donald and Carl Steinmetz, along with many extended family members and friends.

Nevada woman arrested in Bates County

On 5/13/19 around 8:43am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County arrested 42 year old Rachel R. Bench of Nevada, Missouri.

She was arrested for 1.) Felony Vernon County Sheriff's Office Warrant - Stealing - 4th Or Subsequent Stealing Offense Within 10 Years Period.

Rachel R. Bench was booked into the Bates County Jail in Butler and she is listed as bondable.
