Obituary - Shirley Horner

Shirley Horner, 79, Adrian, Missouri, died Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her home in Adrian. 

A Celebration of Life will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO.

Search underway for missing Stockton man

A search is underway for Stockton area resident Kevin Costello. He has been missing since about 10:30 last night. 

His car was found abandoned last night about 5 miles north of Stockton.

Obituary - Ernie Hearting

Visitation will be held at Hill and Son Funeral Home in Appleton City, Missouri on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

No other service is planned.

There will be a private family inurment at Appleton City Cemetery in Appleton City, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton City, Missouri.

(Bates County, Mo)- Mid America Live News traveled around Bates County this afternoon surveying flood water in the area. Several places around the Marais Des Cygnes River are extremely flooded due to all the rain we've got throughout the month.

While rain is always a necessity to much rain can cause quite a headache for the locals. The almighty Rain God's could turn the water off at anytime!

Obituary - Brian Anthony Padron

Brian A. Padron, 30, of rural Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday evening, May 23, 2019 at his home.

He was born July 22, 1988 in Mesa, Arizona, the son of Kenneth Eugene Haak and Rosalie Alicia (Padron) Haak. He married Sunni Dawn Borgman on May 28, 2012 in Harrisonville, MO. She survives of the home.

Brian was employed with the DH Restoration as a bricklayer. He was a member of the Local 15, Kansas City, MO and the Tightwad Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family, and archery and firearms target shooting.

In addition to his wife Sunni, surviving are two daughters, Elaina Rose Padron and Willow Dawn Padron; and one son, Walker Tuff Padron, and a son on the way expected in October, all of the home; his mother, Rosalie Haak, Belton, MO; one brother, Travis Allen Haak and his wife Sidney, Frisco, Texas; three sisters, Amanda Jean Padron, Belton, MO, Jessica Loraine Haak, Harrisonville, MO and Kristen Marie Haak, Belton, MO; maternal grandfather, Ernie Padron, Palmdale, California; mother in law and father in law, Bill and Dayle Borgman, Tightwad, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father in 2013, and also his maternal grandmother, Patricia Moore.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home. Pastor Bob Dennis will officiate. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Racket, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. just prior to the funeral service. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Henry County Honor Coalition, Suicide Prevention, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home. More road closures due to flooding in Bates County

Missouri B Highway in the area of P and W will be closing as water is starting to cover roadway. MoDOT will placing barriers soon. 

Please use caution and remember barriers are there for your protection please do not move them.
