Be careful: Farmers on the road

Yes, local farmers are scurrying between rains to get beans in and hay out...which means you'll see more tractors and implements on the roads.

Just last night, a pickup struck a planter being pulled by a tractor on F highway about 7 miles west of Passaic. The accident happened late in the evening- well past when you might expect to meet farm equipment on the road.

The pickup sustained serious damage and fortunately,  there were no injuries.

This is just a friendly reminder to drive extra careful on our county roads... besides the normal hazards of deer and other things, be extra careful when approaching or passing tractors and other farm equipment on the road.
