Montrose man arrested after pursuit in Henry County

Approximately 40 minutes later, Major Rob Hills located the stolen Buick in Montrose being driven by a white, male subject and while attempting to initiate a felony vehicle stop, the vehicle fled the area. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, at which time the stolen vehicle was recovered on SW 1225 just outside of Montrose.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody a short time later in the immediate area, with the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Additional deputies from both the Henry and St. Clair Counties Sheriff’s Offices responded to the area during the vehicle pursuit and subsequent search for the vehicle’s driver.
Arrested was Robert Parratt, age 39, of Montrose, on 24-hour holds for stealing a motor vehicle and resisting arrest by flight.

Adrian High School Baseball Banquet
At the AHS Baseball Banquet, held June 12, 2019, varsity lettermen were recognized. The Blackhawks ended their season with a 16-6 record and ranked 8th in the State of Missouri.
Congratulations on a great season! Special thanks to Coaches Noland and Vanslyke, who gave 110% to the players and this team.

Wet Pattern Returns Friday Through Next Week
If you can get out there and enjoy the spectacular mid-June day today with highs in the low to mid 70s..do it! Because, Mother Nature is going to try and put a damper on your hard-earned weekend! A wet pattern will return to the area on Friday and continue through the weekend and into next week.
Storms on Saturday could be strong with even isolated severe storms possible. The main threats would be for strong to damaging winds and small hail up to quarter size.
Several rounds of storms through the next week could bring an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain to the area which may aggravate ongoing river flooding.

Power Outages in Harrisonville
As most of you may already know that storm that just came through caused some problems.
The city of Harrisonville is dealing with some power outages and the Electric Department is working very hard to get a tree removed from some very important power lines before power can be restored.
Please be patient and the Electric Department will have the power on as soon as possible.
