Notice from Benjamin Cemetery

Benjamin Cemetery would like to remind everyone that decorations from Memorial Day must be removed by June 30. One ground decoration per grave is permitted after that date to facilitate mowing and trimming. Stones with mulch around the decorated area are exempt and can have more than one per grave as long as the decorations are in the mulched area.

Lots happening at Poplar Heights Farm

We're really making progress on our new trail along Willow Branch and the new bathroom complex at Poplar Heights. Thanks to a great group of boys from Rich Hill who cleared 3/4 of a mile of brush and planted trees along the trail. And Adrian Plumbing is moving right along thru very wet ground to install the new sewer line and septic tank for the new bathroom complex to be located behind the red barn. We're hoping for a ribbon cutting in October for this duel project. -courtesy Poplar Heights Farm

When recoginition is due...

Bates County Memorial Hospital is recognizing our Purchasing Department this week, June 16-22, led by Paula Reed. Paula oversees the Purchasing, Laundry and Housekeeping Departments. Purchasing employees are Chantelle Mumma (left) and Betty Reinke. We appreciate the hard work and dedication these employees bring to BCMH, ensuring all departments have the supplies they need for the smooth operation of our hospital and the health and safety of our patients. You are great team members and we appreciate you!
