Update: Shooting in Foster

On 6/17/2019, at approximately 1230 pm deputies were dispatched to the Foster Community in reference to a shooting that had just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with multiple witnesses that stated the incident occurred during an assault in progress.

The subject that appears to be the victim of the assault and the one that fired the gun was still on scene. The other subject had left the scene and reportedly was headed to Kansas. It’s unclear if the other subject had actually been hit by the gunfire. That subject has not responded to request from law enforcement to return and give his side of the story.

“We believe this was a neighbor/neighbor dispute and do not feel that the community of Foster is in any danger from this incident”. Says Sheriff Anderson. “All parties involved have been identified and Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and the home owner at this time.”
