Fire Saturday in Nevada still under investigation

On 6/29/19 around 4:03am the Nevada Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 424 S. Lynn Street in Nevada.

Upon NFD arrival to the scene we found a single story wood frame structure with 75% involvement with heavy fire and smoke.

NFD applied defensive tactics due to the advance stages of the fire as well as the unsafe stability of the residence. The fire was brought under control in about one hour, and overhaul was than conducted on the building.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage to the structure and contents were estimated at $15,000.
