Eldorado Springs man seriously injured in Vernon County crash

On 7/7/19 around 10:47pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with Vernon County Sheriff's Deputies and Nevada Police Department responded to a two vehicle accident on Missouri 54 Highway inside the Nevada city limits.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Hyundai Elantra driven by 21 year old Ryan L. Lutes of El Dorado Springs, Missouri crossed over the center line and struck the 2012 Volvo tractor trailer driven by 45 year old Darius Bielat of Roselle, Illinois.

Mr. Lutes sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by life flight to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.

Both vehicles received extensive damages and both were towed from the scene of the accident by Garwood's Wrecker Service of Nevada, Missouri.

Stolen motorcycle in Henry County

On 7/8/19 the Henry County Sheriff's Office took a report of a stolen motorcycle in Windsor, Missouri.

The motorcycle is described as a green and black Kawasaki Ninja 300 special edition with no registration. It was stolen around 1:00 - 3:00am.

Obituary - Robert W. Martin

Robert W. Martin, age 74, of Archie, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore, Missouri, 64083. Military Honors will be at 7:00 p.m.

Robert was born on April 17, 1945 in Raymore, Missouri. After graduating high school, Robert served his country in the United States Army. In life, he was blessed with two children, Robert and Ashley Martin. Robert was a member of NHRA and Good Guys Car Club. He loved his hot rods, in fact spent much time and different car shows and owned his own automotive service for fifteen years, R&R Automotive.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert W. Martin; daughter, Ashley Martin; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Dylan, Tommy, and Angel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Disabled American Veterans 14605 E US Hwy 40, Kansas City, Missouri 64136.
