Still seaching for missing teens in Rich Hill

On July 14, 2019 a Deputy responded to the Rich Hill Youth Development Center in reference to two juveniles that had ran away from the facility. The two subjects ran into the woods just west of the facility.

Over the next several hours Deputies canvassed the area attempting to locate the juveniles but were unable to locate them. The Deputies also followed up on a couple of leads as to where the juveniles may have been but again were unable to locate them. The Deputy was provided with a copy of a Warrant for Apprehension and Detention for both of the juveniles.

Both juveniles are 16 year old males. One was described as being 5'6" with dark hair. He was wearing black shorts a black shirt and white shoes. The other male has curly hair that was in a ponytail. He was wearing a gray shirt, black shorts and black shoes.

If you see these two missing juveniles you are asked to contact the Bates County Sheriff's Office or the Rich Hill Police Department immediately.



Car stolen in Rich Hill

On July 15, 2019 a Deputy took a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Oak street in Rich Hill, MO. The victim stated that he had last seen the vehicle last night around 7:30. He advised the Deputy that the car was unlocked and the keys were in it. The vehicle is a white 2004 Ford Crown Victoria. It has three black circles on the trunk where the antennas used to be. The victim had just purchased the vehicle so he did not have the plate number.

The Deputy had dispatch enter the vehicle as stolen in MULES 
(Missouri Uniform Law Enforcement System).

The MSTPA tractor pull was in Butler on Sunday evening to wrap up a great week at the Bates County Fair! Thank you all for attending.

Structure Fire North of Amsterdam

Around 5:30pm this afternoon the Adrian Fire Department along with Butler Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed house fire at a address of 11226 CR 12001 north of Amsterdam.

The house is a total loss and no one was home at the time of the fire. KCP&L Crews and the American Red Cross have been called in to assist on this fire.
