Obituary - Pamela "Pam" S. Christensen

Pamela "Pam" Sue Christensen, 57, Belton, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Flemming Christensen; her daughter, Danielle Chirstensen; her parents, Dale and Ronnie Snyder; her mother-in-law, Mona Ebeck and her husband Charlie; her in-laws, Hanna Overturf, Inge Howard and husband Roger, Jan Christensen and wife Holly, Beth Wilson and husband Mark; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Cassco Sheltered Workshop, Harrisonville.

Housing Demolition Partnership has begun the first house to be demo was on Main Street. 

This partnership is between the city and the property owner to get these abandoned houses tore down. This is the first of what we hope to be many more tore down.



Obituary - Mary E. Carpenter

Mary Elizabeth Carpenter, age, 93 of Butler Missouri Passed away July 13, 2019 at home. She was born July 31, 1925 in Armstrong, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard Hester and Mary Elizabeth (Wolcott) Loehr.

Mary was an active community volunteer. She served 24 years with the Bates County Hospital Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) where she was awarded the volunteer of the year several years. Additionally, she dedicated 19 years to the City of Butler’s Senior Taxi, Hospice and was a Charter Member of National WWII Memorial. She was active member of the Passaic United Methodist Church.

Mary was the matriarch of her family and is proceeded in death by her parents, Leonard and Mary Loehr; her husband, Harry Carpenter; and six brothers, William S. Loehr, Leonard G. Loehr, Floyd Loehr, Glen Loehr, Rosco Loehr, David Loehr; and daughter, Mary Louise Keith.

While Mary played many roles in her life everyone knew that parenting her children was the most important piece. She served as both Mother and Father to her four children. She is survived by her brother James L. Loehr; three of her children, Max B. Herrick Jr. and his wife Theresa of Peculiar, Missouri.; James Tavis of Desoto, Kansas; Barbara Strickland and her husband William of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mary also leaves behind a legacy of strength in her 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and countess nieces and nephews. She will forever be missed and loved by all. May she rest in God’s arms.

Obituary - Patricia Ann Hollandsworth

Patricia Ann Hollandsworth 65, of Nevada, passed away Saturday, July 13th, at the Medicalodges of Nevada.

Funeral services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at the Heuser Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery at Rich Hill.
Visitation is planned between 10-11am Wednesday morning, July 17th, at the funeral home. 

Memorials to the Heartland Hospice are suggested and can be made in care of Heuser Funeral Home.
