From left to right: State Farm Agent Brian Harris, Athlete of the week Gavin Brockman and State Farm Agent Kellie Davidson

We are proud to introduce our State Farm student Athlete of the week Gavin Brockman from Butler. Gavin is a Junior and on the boys varsity basketball team. Gavin was nominated by Butler's Athletic Director, Jake Duvall.

Gavin is a strong asset to his team. He plays with a high motor and is always pushing himself and his teammates to be better. Most importantly, he is an A student and is often found hard at work in the classroom and focusing on his academics. When asked to describe an elite athlete in his own words, Gavin stated "it's someone who knows their role on their team. Always doing what is best for the team.

You might not come away with the best individual stats every night. but making sure you are always doing what it takes to make your team succeed. He stated, "an elite athlete goes above what is expected. They do all the extras". Good luck Gavin and the Butler Bears. Their next game is Saturday night in the championship of the Archie Tournament versus Adrian at 7:30 p.m. Come out and cheer on our student athletes!!
