Huge Garage Sale In Rich Hill





HUGE Garage sale coming next weekend in Rich Hill. 8-10 families It will be held at Trent's BBQ building 7th and Walnut Street -Starts Friday August 7th from 5pm-9pm and Saturday August 8th from 8 am-4pm

We have lots of stuff. Queen mattress box spring and frame $75 and it can go before the sale message if interested.


Also have little girls bike, queen rv mattress, teen/junior boy and girl clothes, Little girls clothes probably infant/toddler- size 8 or so. Shoes, purses, few golf clubs, Thirty one rolling cooler like new Heated cat house, Tackle boxes with lures.

Lots of household items, small refrigerator, plus size women’s clothes and men’s clothes larger sizes too. Too much to list but we will have a TON of stuff. 


Obituary - Leroy Dale Russell

Leroy Dale Russell age 83 of Garden City, Missouri departed this life Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

Leroy is survived by a son, Gary D. Russell and his companion Alison of Garden City, Missouri; a daughter, Lori L. Russell of Woodbridge, Virginia; two grandchildren, Sarah Thomas and Christopher Chiodo and his wife Megan; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Brynlee; other relatives and many friends.

Cremation. A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date under the care of Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Missouri.

Obituary - Verna Louise Bright

Verna Louise Bright, age 84, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Thursday July 30, 2020. She was born in rural La Cygne, Kansas the daughter of Roy E. and Phebie A. Griffin McCoy. Shortly after birth the family moved to Amoret, Missouri. She attended Amoret Schools until the family returned to Kansas. She then attended Pleasanton Schools graduating Pleasanton High School in the Class of 1952. She went on to Pittsburg State Teacher’s College. 

 Upon graduation, she began teaching, which she did for several years. Verna and Jack Bright were united in marriage on May 20, 1956. She was a faithful and loyal member of the Amoret and Pleasanton Presbyterian Church. Verna was talented in many areas. She sewed and crocheted, often making items for her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed decorating cakes. 

She even decorated a special one for her and Jack’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. Verna enjoyed writing poetry, humming birds and camping with Jack. For many years, they were snowbirds, traveling to Texas and Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Richard and LeRoy McCoy, and two sisters, Barbara Causey and Melissa Spellmeier. Verna is survived by her husband, Jack, a sister, Patricia Jennings, sister in laws, Colleen Troth and husband Marion and Kathy McCoy, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday August 4, 2020 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Woodfin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Schneider Pleasanton Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton Presbyterian Church. Obituary - James J. Shannon Robinson

James J. Shannon Robinson, age 40 of Prescott, Kansas passed away at his home the morning of August 1, 2020. Shannon was born the son of James Jay and Betty Dunagan Robinson on March 29, 1980 at Kansas City, Kansas. He loved riding motorcycles, listening to music, fishing but most of all his family and playing with his grandchildren. 

 Shannon was preceded in death by his father, and one sister, Amanda Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Billie, two sons, Thomas Robinson and Jacob Grimes, two daughters, Kayla Robinson and Shyanna Grimes and two grandsons, Colton and Hayden McCarson.

Updated Obituary - Sharon Elaine Loveall

Sharon Elaine Loveall, 56, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Raymore surrounded by her family. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, with the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Inurnment will follow services at Wills Cemetery in Peculiar, Missouri.

Sharon was born June 27, 1964 to Elvin Myers and Virginia (Rench) Keller in Perryton, Texas. Sharon attended the Ray-Pec Schools, growing up in the Raymore area. She moved to Harrisonville after school and was a resident for over 34 years. She spent her career working in the heating & cooling industry, primarily as a secretary. Despite her battle with cancer, she continued working until December 2019 with Sharp-Long 72 Degrees Air Conditioning and Heating.

Sharon enjoyed doing yard work and crafting, and she really enjoyed spending time with her dog. Although, she might have been considered somewhat of a workaholic, due to always needing to find something to do and be busy with, her family was her world. She loved being a mother and a grandmother and was truly looking forward to welcoming her first great-grandchild as well. Family meant everything to her and she will be sorely missed by all those she leaves behind, but they know she fought hard and that is the legacy she leaves behind, that of strength, courage, and unending love.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin Myers and Virginia Keller; her grandparents, Gladys and Steven Rench; and her nephew, Michael David Demoss. She is survived by her daughter, Tara (Michael) Hillyer; her son, David Gagne; her daughter, Brianna (Michael) Medley; her 9 grandchildren: Alexyss, Matthew, Mason, and Lucas Hillyer; Alyssa Fuqua, Aaron and Ashton Gagne; and Hunter Sullivan and Lincoln Medley; one great-grandchild on the way, Tucker Dunham, Jr.; two brothers: Robert Myers and Donnie Myers; her sister, Debbie Self; and many extended family and friends.
