Ellett's Apple of the week Kim Raybourn

Kim Raybourn has been selected as this weeks Ellett's Apple of the week award issued by Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City.

Kim has been with Ellett for 17 years. Kim works in Health Information without her, sending and receiving patient information would be much harder.

What she does is very important, and her dedication to Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City does not go unnoticed. Kim goes out of her way to help patients and their families with their needs.

Kim is one of the main faces behind our annual block party in August, she works very hard on that event each year. Next time you see Kim, let her know how much she is appreciated at Ellett for what she does!

News from the Immanuel Baptist Church in Butler

Good afternoon, IBC family and friends.

We hate to do this, but after some discussion it was decided to go ahead and cancel the upcoming thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Hill Church has shut down due to Covid and we want to honor that. We also had enough concern to make it hard to gauge interest in the event.

We apologize and are sorry for any inconvenience. If you have no where to go this thanksgiving, please let us know and we will figure out alternate plans

Hume Community News 11/16/20

November 16, 2020-
Hume News

We have several in Hume area that have come down with Covid. Our school made the tough decision to go online due to Covid last Wednesday.

School administrators and staff had a tough job anyway, this year is even worse on them. They love our kiddos as much as we do. They all are doing the best possible for our children, grandchildren\s education and safety. The next time you see some them give them a great big thanks. We will all get through this together.

Saturday, November 21 is our food pantry distribution in Hume. Distribution will look a little different. Rather than our normal mass distribution this Saturday (third Saturday of the month), we will be setting up appointment times for you to pick up your box. All appointments will get the same items – no client choice items this month.

Whether you are the first appointment or the last appointment, your box will be the same. Please check our Face book page - in a day we will post a way to sign up for an appointment.

Bates and Henry County and City of Butler Demoting to Phase Zero

Due to worsening conditions and a resurgence of COVID-19 cases within the community, the Court, after consultation with judicial partners, orders that all court facilities of the Bates County Courthouse and the Henry County Courthouse return to Operational Phase Zero.

What this means:
-- All in-person court proceedings have been suspended except in the case of emergencies.
-- The court will be rescheduling hearings/cases; however, some hearings may continue via Zoom or video conference
-- Folks who have hearings scheduled should check the dates/status of their particular case via Case Net.
