Osage Valley Electric Cooperative warns of Scam!

A member in western Bates County reported that a person was going door to door yesterday indicating he worked with Osage Valley and was offering hybrid energy solutions to reduce electric bills.

He did not provide the name of the company he was working for and would not provide a business card. He was driving a silver Hyundai with Utah tags.

While there may be legitimate door to door solar salesmen in the area, they should be able to provide appropriate identification. Osage Valley is not currently working with any company in door to door sales.

BCMH Employee of the year 2020

The staff of Bates County Memorial Hospital voted for their choice of who should represent the hospital as Employee of the Year. The votes were counted, and Carmen Matter was chosen as the 2020 Employee of the Year.

Carmen began her employment as a Registered Nurse in April, 1997 where she worked on the Med/Surg and Critical Care Units. In 2000, Carmen transferred to Infection Control. As the hospital’s Infection Control Coordinator, Carmen has been instrumental in providing guidance and leadership throughout the Coronavirus pandemic.

The hospital is proud to honor Carmen who is very deserving of this recognition. The hospital presented Carmen with an engraved plaque and beautiful floral bouquet. Pictured with Carmen is Greg Weaver, Interim Chief Executive Officer.
