Search Warrant served in Lamar

On 03/17/2021 ODET Detectives along with Lamar PD Officer’s served a Search Warrant at 806 Poplar Street Apartment #B in Lamar Mo.

This residence has been under investigation by ODET for Drug Trafficking for approximately 1 month. ODET Detectives arrested Mary Phelps 46 years

Of age who resides at the apartment. ODET Detectives located a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine from the residence. Phelps Was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and was issued a no bond warrant.

Harrisonville Police Department seeking public assistance


On March 16th at about 1:00am someone stole a 2003 Ford F350 from the 2100 block of Royal Street in Harrisonville. 

In the photo you can see the truck has a distinctive after market light bar on the roof and the exhaust is loud. The pictured truck is the same truck and as you can see has some aftermarket parts that make it stand out.

2021 Archie High School Graduation

Graduation 2021:

Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 9th at 2:00pm at the Archie Sports Complex. In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be rescheduled for the following Sunday, May 16th at 2:00pm.

The Senior Walk; their final walk through the halls to celebrate their time at Archie High School will take place on Monday, May 3rd at 12:45pm. The senior awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 5th at 8:30am in the Archie dome.


Obituary - Donna Sue Kissee

Donna Sue Kissee, age 80, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 at The Arbors at Glendale Gardens in Clinton, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri. 


The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Henry County Memory Fund in care of the funeral home. Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Obituary - Rebecca Belle Gilmore

Rebecca Belle Gilmore, 86, formerly of Milo, MO passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Rebecca, the oldest of three children, was born February 22, 1935 in Metz, MO to John C. and Beryl A. (Brown) Alexander. She married Delmar Ray Gilmore on December 17, 1955 in Nevada and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2016.

Rebecca attended the Metz and Milo Schools and graduated from Nevada High School in 1953. She was a homemaker and a Christian woman. She played the piano at the Milo Baptist Church for a number of years as well as the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Sheldon Baptist Church, and Deerfield Baptist Churches at different times. Rebecca lived in the Nevada and Milo area all of her adult life. She enjoyed raising roses and flowers. She mostly enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Gilmore (Sandy) of Nevada, John Gilmore (Tina), Milo, four daughters, Debra Gilmore of Nevada, Suzann Page of Nevada, Mary Scotten (David), Harwood, and Jennifer Ogle, Ft. Scott; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda Alexander, Castle Rock, CO; one brother, Darrell Alexander (Rosemary), Prescott, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Delmar, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Gilmore; one grandson, Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Jasper, and Kennedi.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Milo Baptist Church. Cremation will follow and a private committal will be held at a later date in Milo Cemetery.

Those who wish may contribute in Rebecca’s memory to the Moore-Few Care Center c/o the NRMC Foundation.
