Three Day Forecast



Widespread rain will spread east through the day Monday. While there is a small chance for rain in eastern KS and western MO during the morning hours, the best chances will come later in the day with widespread rainfall Monday evening through Tuesday morning. 

The widespread will move east Tuesday morning, but there could be a few storms develop Tuesday afternoon, Mainly east of Kansas City.

Obituary - Densil Dean Quick

Densil Dean Quick, 79, passed away March 15, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Born on September 12, 1941 and raised in Butler, Missouri, he moved to Middleburg, Florida in 1983. He was the youngest of 10 children, and son of the late George E. and Fannie E. Bellamy Quick of Butler. Densil’s late wife was Judith Mildred Bazemore Quick of Savannah, Georgia. 

Densil retired as a SK-1 Petty Officer First Class, and was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver and dispatcher at Davis Express, as a bus driver for the children at the YMCA, and as a security guard at S.A.F.E. Management.

Densil was a member of First Baptist Church of Middleburg. He was a deacon, usher, Sunday school teacher, was active in the children’s ministry, and was part of the clown ministry. He also loved to travel and to explore new places.

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Gina Nelson and husband Marvin B. Nelson, and Bridget Trina Trenado and husband Pedro Pacheco; son, Aaron Scott Quick and wife Tinatin Quick; sisters, Ione Berry and Evelina Payne; brother, Loyd Quick, and 4 grandchildren, Abigail, Caleb, Bethany, and Miriam Nelson; grandson by marriage, Gabriel Pacheco; and a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by a son, Densil Dean Quick, Jr; 3 brothers, George F. Quick, Lilburn Quick, and Keith Quick, and 3 sisters, Elizabeth Ruhs Payne, Patty Russell, and Berneice Quick.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens and Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg, Florida 32068. Funeral service with military honors will be on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Middleburg, 2645 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL 32068. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to St. Joseph’s Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, SD, 57326, www.stjo.org.


Condolences

The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office would like to extend our most sincere condolences to the Hickory County Sheriff’s Office and the family of Nathaniel Mueller, whom passed away Monday, March 8th, 2021. Services today were held in remembrance and honor of his service.

Nathaniel had served in the U.S. Army from 2004 to 2007, and was currently serving as an investigator for the Hickory County Sheriff's Office.

Obituary - Alice Lucille Hildebrand

Alice Lucille Hildebrand age 69 of Harrisonville, Missouri departed this life Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home surrounded with family and love.

Alice is survived by her husband Jon Hildebrand of the home; a son, Levi Horseman and his wife Jackie of Lee's Summit, Missouri; a daughter, Melissa (Missy) Campbell and her husband Tom of Warrensburg, Missouri; ten grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Harrisonville Community Church, Harrisonville, Missouri at 10:00 a.m.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Mo 64701.

Obituary - Aaron Enoch Goodwin

Aaron Enoch Goodwin, 39, Deerfield, MO, passed away in Hot Springs, AR. Aaron was born on May 31, 1982 in Big Lake, MN to Johnnie Albert and Connie JoAnn (Wood) Goodwin.

Aaron moved with his family from Minnesota to Deerfield in 1991. He grew up in the Deerfield area and graduated from Ft. Scott High School Class of 2001. He was a brick mason and also worked as a press operator for Liberty Label in Ft. Scott, KS for a number of years. Aaron enjoyed disc golf, camping with family and friends and fishing.

Survivors include his father, Johnnie, Deerfield; siblings, Tosha Ann Potts (David), Wichita, KS, Keilah Ruth Forgey (Terry), Deerfield, Joshua Wayne Goodwin, Ft. Scott, Ashley Dawn Gronewaller (Jeff), Guthrie, OK, and Elizabeth Ann Todd (Saul), Ft. Drum, NY; Marguerite Ann Goodwin, grandmother; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Private committal will follow in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, MO.



Obituary - Virginia L. Argabright

Virginia L. Argabright, 91, of Archie, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021, at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Missouri. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, Missouri. 

The family will receive friends Friday, 10:00-11:00am at the funeral home in Adrian. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian.

Contributions may be made to the Archie United Methodist Church, Archie, MO. A complete obituary will be added when it becomes available.
