Obituary - David Ernest Sage

David Ernest Sage, 92, Kansas City, MO, passed away November 30, 2020 in North Kansas City, MO.

Military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian, MO with a memorial service to follow. Inurnment will be held in West Point Cemetery in Amsterdam, MO.

Obituary - Brice Lee Long

Brice Lee Long, age 69, of Deepwater, Missouri was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19th, 2021 at Bridgewood Heath Care Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 26th, 2021 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. 

Burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Deepwater, Missouri. Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Brice was born in Raytown in 1951. He graduated from Raytown South in 1969 and went on to become a union electrician for the Local IBEW 124. He was and long time member of Park Grove Christian Church and Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved to collect Indian artifacts.

Brice is predeceased by his parents, Robert P Long II and Dorthy L Long, and his brother, Robert P Long III.

He is survived by his 3 children; Adriann, Robert(Abby), and Michelle. Grandkids; Haley, Jaden, Brennon, Madison, Erica, Robert, Corah, and Natalie. His Brother Gerald(Ruth), and his sister Sheri.

Brice is lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.

The printed 2020 Bates county financial statement is now available for free pickup at the county office complex at 103 W. Dakota street or the Mid America Live office at 17 N. Main in Butler.

Breaking News: House fire in Butler

The Butler Fire Department along the Adrian Fire Department and Butler Police  is on scene of a structure fire at the corner of High and Howard Streets in Butler.

No one is injured in this fire and the house is fully engulfed in flames. 

The streets around this area is closed at this time so please avoid this area!
