Rich Hill 8th grade students visit the Bates County Museum

Eighth grade students from Rich Hill High School recently visited the Bates County Museum to learn about the Border War/Civil War here in the County. They were an excellent group and I enjoyed telling them some of the great tales of history.

Several found family names in the 1860 Listing of Men Eligible for Military Service. They were shocked to learn the youngest aged listings were just 10 years old. /// Preserve Our History & Sustain Our Heritage
