Henry County Health Center Confirms 3 new positive cases of COVID-19
The Henry County Health Center (HCHC) has received confirmation of 3 more positive cases of COVID-19. Clinton-3. This brings the total number of confirmed positive cases in Henry County to 1971.
All contact tracing has commenced and all parties that have had close contact are being notified. HCHC continues to encourage residents to practice social distancing, washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or more, and to remain home if you are sick.
The CDC continues to recommend that individuals to wear a face covering when you are in public, and are unable to social distance, to assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

A few strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon/evening with isolated hail up to 1 inch & winds up to 60 mph are the main concerns.

Obituary - Russell Pippin
Russell Pippin, age 88, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Monday April 26, 2021. He was born in Hammond, Missouri on November 24, 1932 the son of Laborn and Elizabeth Barnett Pippin. He was united in marriage to Ethel Miller on November 22, 1958. He was employed as an automotive mechanic.
Russell was a member of the Mound City First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marceline and Inis. Russell is survived by his wife, Ethel, two daughters, Wanda Martin (Hy) and Phyllis Gillispie, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am to service time at the Mound City Chapel.
