Robert Edwin Disselhoff, 82, Adrian, Missouri, passed away on April 26, 2021 in Butler, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church in Adrian, Missouri with visitation from 1:00-3:00. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Amazing Grace Baptist Camp.

Bob was born on February 18, 1939 to Arthur and Josie (Stach) Disselhoff in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the baby of 10 children. Throughout his life Bob was known for his loving and lighthearted personality. Paired with his wit and unyielding sense of humor, Bob was adored by everyone he crossed paths with.

Bob married the love of his life, DonNeta Morrow on January 20th, 1962. Over their 59 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 children. The two moved from Kansas City to her hometown of Adrian Missouri in 1970. Bob played many roles throughout his life. Beyond being a treasured friend to many, he was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and an adored cousin and uncle to his extended family. He was a proud Eagle Scout and spent his career of twenty years at General Motors Company in Kansas City. Bob was the iconic Voice of the Blackhawks, announcing Adrian High School football games for 32 years, since 1981. Many recall his seamless announcer voice which never showed bias for his team or grandsons, Tyler and Evan, although it was known and felt.

Bob accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1973, the same year he became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Adrian Missouri. From there, Bob displayed his love for God in everything that he did and played an important role in his church family. Bob could talk to anyone with ease and found joy in sharing his inspiring testimony of faith with others around him.

Bob is remembered for his ability to find humor in any of life’s circumstances and the positive attitude he carried with him. He was a man of many talents, fixing things assumed to be beyond repair in his workshop and incorporating beautiful illustrations whenever he had a pen in hand. Bob always had a good joke at the right time and a countless number of them continue to live on and find their way into day-to-day life. If you knew Bob, you loved him. He will be greatly missed. As he always said “If it don’t work out, we’ll always wished it had of”.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Josie Disselhoff, 2 brothers, 7 sisters, and infant daughter, Robin. He is survived by his wife DonNeta, of the home; one son, Mark Disselhoff and wife, Shelli of Lafayette, LA; one daughter, Kendra Tolle and husband, Gary of Adrian, MO; 3 grandsons, Tyler Tolle and Trenton Tolle of Kansas City, MO, and Evan Tolle of Adrian, MO.

Happy Retirement Bob!

Nevada Regional Medical Center Pharmacist Bob Wilson was all smiles at his retirement reception this Wednesday at the hospital. “I’ve always loved working here. I just wish I would have started about 25 years earlier.” Pictured from the left are NRMC CEO Steve Branstetter, Pharmacy Director Jodee Mashek and Wilson.

An emotional Mashek said, “Bob has always put patients at the forefront of everything he does. If there was ever a problem, Bob was always an advocate for the patient – speaking up for them when things weren’t going well.

Bob never left a meeting with a patient without that person feeling good about the hospital.” After 19 years on the job Bob has lots of projects planned for around the house and says he’s looking forward to having some time to just kick back and relax.
