Obituary - Laney Amber Miller
Laney Amber (Metcalf Wilkins) Miller, 29, Nevada, MO went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 6th, 2021. Laney was born in El Dorado Springs, MO on March 8, 1992 to Lisa Wilkins and John F. Metcalf.
When Laney was six months old her father passed away. In September of 1995, her mom married Monty W. Koehn and Laney quickly became HIS little angel. She loved to dance and sing and often attended Karaoke with her parents. She performed her first solo at the Eagles Aerie at the age of 4, and although she was horribly tone deaf, she was a huge hit with the crowd and quickly wormed her way into the hearts of many. At the age of 12, Laney moved to Nevada and started attending the Nevada Schools. She shot her first deer at the age of 13 and became an avid hunter. She especially loved going with the “old men” on goose and duck hunts. Laney graduated from Nevada High School in May of 2010.

Hazelee Burnett, age 84, of Hopewell, Virginia, recently of Raymore, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in her Raymore home.
Her daughters will be posting a Celebration of Life Video in Honor of Mother’s Day.
Hazelee was born at home in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on April 7, 1937 to Howard Lee Salmons and Winnie Hazel (Hardy) Salmons. Hazelee was very active in her church playing piano and singing in the choir. She had the most beautiful voice. At one point she even recorded a record. She graduated high school and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education at the James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She spent thirty years teaching kindergarteners in Danville, Virginia, and a few years in Hawaii which she absolutely loved and adored the children. She also learned how to play the ukulele and dance the hula. In life Hazelee was the most loving person to all that knew her. As she spent much of her life educating, Hazelee was very passionate about donating her body to science so that others could learn.
Hazelee was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Winnie Salmons; and son in law, Kelly Brent Brown.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Heintz and Laurie Brown; brother Noel Salmons (Deloris); and two grandchildren, Jova Heintz and Jaxson Brown.
