Structure Fire in Nevada

Around 5:20pm this evening the Nevada Fire Department responded to report of residential structure fire at 711 E. Lee in Nevada.

Car found in Cass County Lake

The Pleasant Hill Police Department along with Pleasant Hill Fire Protection District, Stever’s Tow, Missouri Highway Patrol dive team, Mike Hyatt with Harrisonville Fire Department and Cass County Sheriff CAU recovered a 2002 Chevy from the city lake today.

The vehicle is believed to have been in the lake for 15+ years. This incident is still under investigation.

I had a Lenovo Laptop stolen along with an iPhone. I also had a car manual and a clothes basket full of clothes that were taken.

Obituary - Esther Eileen Foster

Esther Eileen Foster was born April 19, 1960 in Peculiar, Missouri, the seventh child of 12 born to Kenneth Theo and Icie Christine (Bowen) Foster. She passed away Thursday morning, May 6, 2021 at her home with her loving family at her bedside.

Esther is survived by her two loving sons, Joshua and Jacob Burgess of Franklin, Virginia; three granddaughters, Julianna, Jazmyn, Jocelyn; 10 siblings, Chris, Kenneth, Lester, Wyvonne, Ruby, Roma, Marion, Lillian, Anna, and Penny; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clarence; and one nephew, Billy.

Esther’s wish was to be cremated. She will be greatly missed by her sons, her granddaughters, and family members. A Celebration of Life will be held, at 3:00 pm, Saturday May 15, 2021 at her home.


Obituary - Mark Eugene Husak

Mark Eugene Husak, age 56, of Raymore, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held with a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr., Raymore, Missouri 64083.

Mark was born in Syracuse, New York, on August 30, 1964 to Eugene Husak and Mary (Wisnowski) Husak. After graduating high school Mark went on to further his education. He then served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1982 to 2002. In life Mark was blessed with two children, Nikolas and Jilian. He was married and together with his loving wife Gina for eighteen and a half years, gaining two other children, Alec and Ashley. Mark loved spending time with his family, playing golf, volleyball, watching Syracuse basketball, and earlier in life running marathons.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Husak.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Gina Husak; mother, Mary Husak; four children, Nikolas Husak (Marlette), Jilian Husarenko (Joey), Ashley Ahrens, and Alec Ahrens; granddaughter, Piper Husarenko; brother, Michael Husak (Deborah); three sisters, Theresa Husak, Michele Dorman (Robert), and Ann Husak (Bill); and many nieces and nephews.
