Strong Storms possible tonight, & Tuesday night

A round of scattered showers and thunderstorms is ongoing across the area early this morning. The chance for showers will continue throughout the day for areas of northeastern Kansas and northern Missouri. Tonight, expected a round of thunderstorms to move back into the area.

These storms will have the potential to producing lightning, and occasional heavy rain. A few storms south of Interstate 70 will have the chance to be strong with gusty winds the main threat.

Another round of strong storms will be possible again Tuesday night into Wednesday. These two rounds of storms will have the chance to produce 1 to 3 inches of rain however, with recent dry conditions, flooding is not expected.

2021 Adrian High School Homecoming Royalty

The 2021 Adrian High School Homecoming Royalty was crowned last night as Adrian defeated Lone Jack 54-0 to move to 5-2 on the season.

Report of stealing in Appleton City

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 the St. Clair County Sheriffs deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property.

Upon making contact with the victim, he reported that his wife heard a sound outside of the house and looked outside and saw an individual run away from their truck and get into a dark color car and drive off.

The victim reported that when he started the vehicle the morning after the incident, he could tell that the catalytic converter had been cut off and stolen. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

There's is a chance for a few strong to isolated severe storms tomorrow night south of I-70. Until then, let's make a run at the record high today (90 degrees in 1963)!

Obituary - Clyde Frederick Tarter

Clyde Frederick Tarter, age 83 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Butler Center in Butler, Missouri. He was born August 3, 1938 to Cortes Alvy Tarter Sr. and Loara Lucille Porter Tarter in Kansas City, Missouri.

Clyde is survived by a special nephew, David Tarter and wife Debbie of Butler, Missouri; a niece, Meg Ross and husband Jason of College Station, Texas; three sisters, Opal Hinton, Dorothy Doss and Joan Clapper; and numerous other nephews and nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, James, Cortes and Bill Tarter; and a sister, Julia Nighswonger.
