Thunderstorm Timeline Tonight - Wed AM
We've got several chances for strong storms this evening and overnight into tomorrow morning. The first two rounds will be scattered in nature (not everyone will see storms) with gusty winds, small hail, and pockets of heavy rain possible. This will all precede the main line of storms expected to move through the area from west to east Wednesday morning. That round will bring more widespread rainfall and have the best potential for strong winds.

Obituary - Darlene Coleman
She married Spencer Parrot Coleman on November 11, 1955 and they celebrated 65 years of marriage on Nov. 11, 2020. Darlene and Spencer had two children, Dennis Coleman and Shereece (Coleman) Hugi. Darlene loved her family and told great stories from her childhood with her four brothers and sister. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her beautiful soprano voice and creative spirit made every song, dish, piece of fabric, and lock of hair works of art. She showed her generous love of friends and family through beautiful wedding clothes, delicious meals, hair styles, doll dresses, lovingly crafted cards, and the list goes on. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, Darlene started her own business making women look their best in her beauty shop in the 1960s-1970s. Most of all, Darlene wanted the focus of her life to be on her walk with Jesus so that everyone would find inspiration in the Faith that carried through her 86 years.
Darlene’s memories endure in the hearts of her children Dennis Coleman, and Shereece Hugi (Glenn Hugi). Grandchildren, Ryan Breit, Shawn Coleman (Crystal Coleman), Melissa Boyd (Daniel Boyd), and Stephanie Hilton (Andy Hilton). Great grandchildren, Lana Breit, Luke Coleman, Logan Coleman, Aidan Freeman, Adele Boyd, Destinee Shehan, Cole Hilton, Chase Hilton, and Emma Hilton; two brothers, Donald Winchel and Robert Winchel; a sister, Retha Cohee.
She was preceded in death by her parent and two brothers, Raymond and Harold Winchel.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with burial in the Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar, Missouri.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at the funeral home.

National Move Over Day Is October 16, 2021
Missouri's law directs motorists to proceed with caution and yield the right-of-way when possible upon approaching a stationary vehicle displaying lighted red or red and blue lights, or a stationary vehicle displaying lighted amber or amber and white lights. Drivers should change lanes away from the stationary vehicle if the roadway has at least two lanes traveling the same direction. When changing lanes is not possible, motorists are directed to reduce their speed, while maintaining a safe speed for road conditions, when traveling past these vehicles.
Emergency vehicles include Highway Patrol, police, sheriff, fire department, coroner or medical examiner, ambulance, tow truck, MoDOT, public utility, corrections officers, National Guard civil support team, and those vehicles carrying equipment to save lives at a traffic crash or incidents involving a hazardous substance.
Troopers and our traffic safety partners are called to serve and protect. When they are helping a stranded motorist, stopping someone for a traffic violation, or working a traffic crash, please protect them. Throughout the history of the Patrol, nine members have been killed after being struck by a vehicle while making a traffic stop or investigating a traffic crash. Together, we can prevent history from repeating itself. When you see an emergency vehicle displaying lighted red or red and blue lights, proceed with caution and yield the right-of-way. Move into a lane not adjacent to that of the stationary emergency vehicle or reduce the speed of your vehicle.
Every day, law enforcement, medical personnel, and first responders serve the public. Often, they do so on the side of the road. Please give them room to work. It’s the law in Missouri.
