Brady was born Sunday, May 21, 2006 at 5:30 a.m. in Overland Park, KS. He was the first child of Brian Johnson and Stephanie (Gilbertson) Johnson.
Currently a sophomore at Belton High School, Brady loved being with friends, driving around town and just hanging out. Like most teenagers, he also enjoyed playing video games.
As a child, Brady played most sports recreationally, including soccer, basketball, baseball and football. He played both soccer and football competitively, and later went on to play high school football. Recently he enjoyed hunting with a good friend. Brady traveled often with his family and enjoyed riding the waves in the ocean, making new friends on cruise ships, or soaring to new heights on thrilling roller coasters.
Brady was a great big brother to his siblings, Sawyer and Aubree. Brady enjoyed giving Sawyer a hard time, as only big brothers can do. He would often pick Aubree up and throw her over his shoulders or spin her around while she laughed. Brady was always willing to help and defend his siblings.
Brady had an infectious, genuine smile that could light up a room. He loved to make people laugh and was a great storyteller. He was a loyal friend and made sure his friends knew that he loved them. Brady gave the best hugs you could ever imagine. He was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Brady leaves behind his loving parents, Brian and Stephanie Johnson; brother, Sawyer Johnson; sister, Aubree Johnson; maternal grandparents, Margie Gilbertson and Ray Gilbertson (Elizabeth Higham); paternal grandparents, Thomas Johnson (Pam Johnson) and Paula Huss; uncle, Eric Gilbertson; and two cousins, Savannah and Brooklyn Gilbertson, and countless friends.

Important update from the Clinton School District
The Clinton School District is committed to keeping our students in school learning. Unfortunately, due to the large number of staff absences, the district has reached a point that we do not have enough substitutes to appropriately maintain operations.
With this in mind, Tuesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 19 will be Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days. AMI days, or remote learning days, are utilized when school is not able to be held in-person, but allows students to continue learning at home. When school districts implement their AMI Plan, the school hours lost due to closure do not have to be made up.
This past Friday, students were prepared for this possible scenario. Students in preschool-5th grade were provided learning packets (a few of these classes did take home Chromebooks), and students at CMS and CHS have their school-issued Chromebooks to complete work through Google Classroom.
Preschool-5th grade students who were not in attendance on Friday to receive their learning packets will be given these assignments when we return to school. Students will be held accountable for completing assigned work.
****Please note that the attendance of each student on an AMI day is based on their completion of assignments from their teachers.
****If you or your child should have any questions regarding assigned work, please reach out to their teacher. You can find a list of email addresses here: https://clintoncardinals.org/our_people/staff_directory
We will reassess the situation on Wednesday to determine if we are able to resume school on Thursday.
Thank you for your partnership and patience.

If you have any outdoor chores on your to-do list this week, Tuesday is the day to get them done with highs in the 40s and 50s.
Save the indoor chores for Wednesday through Friday because we are going to see some of the coldest temperatures so far this winter.
