Joel was a freshman student at Butler High School with his favorite subject being weights. He was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church as well as the youth ministry and helping in the nursery. Joel was also active in scouting and held the Rank of Second Class in Boy Scouts of America.

Joel was ornery but had a contagious smile. He was creative, making him a great storyteller. In addition, he was inventive and imaginative and was always experimenting. He enjoyed music of all genres and kindly accepted his mother's choices of Donny Osmond and Frank Sinatra. He possessed an appreciation of nature and being outside. Joel was family oriented and had a love of animals, especially his dogs Behr and Button. Neighbors enjoyed seeing him play with children in the neighborhood. Perhaps Joel's strongest attribute was his focus on his mother's needs and wants.

Way to go K-9 Edo!

Sgt Bradly Keithly and K-9 Edo of the Nevada Mo PD, and recent graduates of PK9T’s handler course, have been busy in the little time they have been together. They have made drug seizures every night they have worked a patrol shift.

Pictured below is their latest; drug paraphernalia, a small amount of substance and $4,000 cash, which are proceeds from the sale of illegal narcotics.

Drug dealers need to steer clear of Nevada. This team is already taking care of business and will be for a good many years to come.
