She is survived by her 2 brothers, Harold Ray Vinson and Anthony Craig Vinson (Janice); and her 4 children, Deanna Maxine Edmundson (Guy), Traci LeAnne Fuller (Chad), Shannon Lynn Chandler (Steve), and Jeremy Wayne Fuller. Obituary - Charles E. Taylor
Charles E. “Charlie” Taylor, passed away peacefully and with grace March 20, 2023 at Belton Regional Medical Center in the arms of his beloved wife, Bella, and surrounded by friends and family. He enjoyed many happy and healthy years before he became ill with pulmonary fibrosis. He was 77 years old.
Charles was born in Kansas City, KS on February 27, 1946 to William and Roseanna Taylor. He was the fifth of six strong-willed children who all managed to survive childhood in the 50’s and 60’s under the sparse supervision of two working parents during a time before seatbelts and cell phones, and with adults smoking in cars with the windows rolled up.
He spent most of his childhood doing what children of that time did; attending school and generally defending himself and his wilful younger sister from their older brothers and the rest of the neighborhood kids. He and his siblings all survived to adulthood and became, if not stubborn, at least strongly resolved adults with unwavering opinions.
He attended Turner High School and shortly after married his first wife, with whom he shared two sons, Charles Taylor Jr and Mark Lee Taylor. That marriage ended in divorce, after which he spent the majority of his adult life searching for his ideal wife and working as a forklift operator for JC Penney, from which he retired. While working there he met his lovely Bella and lived the remainder of his years as happy as anyone could hope to be. He was also an umpire for little league baseball in The Raymore area and spent time as a school bus driver after retiring from JC Penney.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his wife watching movies, doing a little gambling at the casinos, and traveling. He liked nice cars and was meticulous about his person and his home and spent much of his spare time trying to make the world just a bit cleaner and more organized. Sadly he was only able to control a small corner of it, as he had to share the remainder of it with the rest of us. He was very quiet, and thoughtful, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers Fred Taylor and William R. Taylor. He leaves behind his wife Bella Taylor of Peculiar, MO, sons Chuck and Mark, as well as grandsons David Landon and Justin Taylor, all of the Kansas City area. He will also be remembered by sisters Wanda McCall and Marcella Tindle of Kansas City, KS and brother Kenneth Taylor of Edwards, MO. He leaves nieces and nephews Chris Leininger, DeeDee Lesher, Jason Tindle and Mike McCall as well as other extended family and friends. We will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore, MO on March 24th from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM followed by a graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
Arrangements: Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore, Missouri 816.322.5278
