One seriously injured in St. Clair County accident
On Wednesday May 3rd around 10:30 p.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in St. Clair County along with St. Clair County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle accident on US Highway 54 about 2 miles east of Collins, Missouri.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred the southbound 2015 Volvo 670 driven by 56 year old Suvad Dubinovic of St. Louis, Missouri failed to yield to a westbound 2004 Pontiac Montana driven by 55 year old Billy C. Gambriel of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, causing the Pontiac to strike the trailer unit of Volvo truck.

Billy C. Gambriel sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for treatment.

Stolen Nevada truck & equipment recovered in Jasper County
In the early morning hours of May 2nd 2023, Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s office attempted to stop a Ford F-650 truck pulling a trailer with numerous pieces of excavating equipment on it.
The vehicle turned on a county road abruptly and the driver fled from the vehicle while it was still moving.
The driver, identified as Douglas Garver, 44, of Oronogo, was apprehended after a short foot chase. The truck and trailer and all of the equipment was determined to have just been stolen from Nevada, Missouri hours earlier.
Felony charges of tampering, stealing and resisting arrest have been sent to the Jasper County prosecutor.

The Belton Missouri Police Department would like to update the public regarding the ongoing investigation in this case against Jason L. Carey.
Two Counts - Enticement Or Attempted Enticement Of A Child (Actor 21 Yrs Of Age Or Older And Child Less Than 15 Yrs Of Age) {Felony Unclassified RSMo: 566.151}
This officer, along with members of the Belton Police Investigations Division and with the cooperation from our partners in the Belton School District began an investigation which uncovered additional victims. In the early morning hours of 9-21-2022, the suspect was detained by the Bates County Sheriff’s Office as a person of interest in this case. The suspect was extradited back to the Belton Jail at that time.
Additional charges were filed by the Cass County Prosecutor's Office. Carey is still being held without bond. Here is the most up-to-date list of charges against Carey:
