Jorge Gonzalez, age 58, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Jorge Antonio Gonzalez was born on October 27, 1964 in San Diego, California to Carlos and Minerva Gonzalez. Jorge grew up and lived in the San Diego area of California before moving to Missouri in 2009. In April of 1989 he married his soulmate Geneva Kindred in Arlington, Texas.
He worked for many years as a school sanitary worker before going to McDonalds as a maintenance personnel. He loved the Denver Broncos, the LA Dodgers and the San Diego Padres.
Jorge is preceded in death by his parents Carlos Gonzalez and Minerva (Smith) Gonzalez, and one sister Rosa Gonzalez.
Survivors include his wife Geneva (Kindred) Gonzalez of 30+ years, his brother Carlos (Patti) Gonzalez of Chula Vista, California, his sister Terrie Graham of Seattle, Washington, stepdaughter, Tammy (Phillip) Bloom of Warrensburg, Missouri, 10 grandchildren; Nathan, Justin, Bryan, Kevin and Austin Lawrence, Blaine, Lily, Phillip, Aurora and Ember Bloom, 5 great grandchildren, lots of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.

Obituary - Donald Dean Adams
Donald “Don” Dean Adams, age 78, of Nevada, MO passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Moore-Few Care Center.
Don was born April 5, 1945, in Nevada, MO to Clarence Kermit and Viola (Mahan) Adams. He graduated Nevada High School in 1963 and serviced his country in the United States Army.

On April 8, 1972, he married Terri Mathis, and she survives of the home. Don was an entrepreneur through out his life, including real estate, car sales, and running the Nevada American Legion. His interests include cars and bars. He was a member of the Potawatomi Indian Nation.
Survivors include his wife, Terri; one daughter Carrie Adams, Nevada, MO; brothers, Leroy Adams, Liberty, MO and Joe Adams, Maryville, TN; sisters, Dianne Richardson, Lebanon, MO, Barbara Pierce, Tucson, AZ, Viola Wilson, Las Cruces, NM and Sharon Schaefer, Glen Carbon, IL; two grandsons, Keller Dean Adams and Gavin Reid Adams. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Hurb Adams.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, June 9, 2023, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fort Scott National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
Memorials may be made to Nevada American Legion with the funeral home serving as custodian.

Drexel man injured in Cass County motorcycle crash
On Wednesday June 7th around 9:35 a.m. the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a motorcycle crash on Route Y just south of route YY in rural Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the northbound 2010 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic driven by 41 year old Cory J. Medus of Drexel, Missouri failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign.

Mr. Medus sustained moderate injuries and he was transported by West Peculiar Fire/EMS to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment.
