Power outage update from Osage Valley Electric Cooperative

At the peak of the storm Osage Valley Electric Cooperative had nearly 1000 without power. Working through the night the crews have reduced that number to 186. These are primarily located in northeast Bates County and one outage in southeast Bates County. Crews continue to work on the remaining damage and will have all restored as quickly as possible.

We thought this crane might have been waiting for the water to get deeper. We sure are thankful for this rain but as the storm moves through we do have several outages across the service territory. Crews have been dispatched and are working to make repairs.

Remember to stay away from downed power lines. Please do not report outages on Facebook or Messenger. Outages can be reported by calling 660-679-3131 or using the SmartHub app.
