A complete obituary will be posted when it is available.
Attention city of Harrisonville residents:
REMINDER: On Monday evening, the Harrisonville area received some of the largest hail ever recorded in Cass County.
This caused a great deal of damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, etc.
With this in mind, we want to share some important pieces of information with you.
1. For residential homes, a building permit is not required for roof or siding repairs, as long as the work covers less than 25% of the entire surface. For any project that requires repair over 25%, a permit will be required.
2. There will be several insurance agents/contractors reaching out to you for estimates or to make repairs. Please be careful when making your decisions and ensure that all contractors have a current business license and solicitors license with the City before they begin work on your home.
Your home is your most valuable asset, and we would hate to see someone take advantage of you during your time of need.
If you have questions about any of this, please contact our Community Development office at 816-380-8958.
