Obituary - Aaron Gammon

Aaron Christopher Gammon, age 34, of Nixa died August 4, 2023. He was born August 17, 1988 in Drexel, Missouri, the son of Alan and Andrea (Jenkins) Gammon.

Aaron was a teacher and a coach at Nixa Junior High School, but his family was his life. Aaron was smart and funny. His smile and his personality were contagious. He did so many things out of the kindness of his incredible heart. He loved to make his girls laugh. He loved his family more than anything and his favorite things to do were spend time with his wife and daughters. He loved to take his girls to Branson in the summer or work on projects for the house.

If a quick nap in the afternoon could be snuck in there somewhere, it was a perfect day. He loved hunting, camping, dancing and singing with Danielle and the girls. Aaron had a way of planning things to make the most special people in his life feel that way. He loved the "wow factor " of planning a trip, a gift, a holiday, or any celebration - but he never expected anybody to return the favor. He loved his students, his coworkers, his friends, and his family so much. We will all miss him in different ways and life on earth will never be the same, but we will see him again someday in heaven. Aaron is looking down on us smiling and he is at peace with the Lord, his grandpa Jim, and his dog Kilo.

Survivors include: His wife Danielle Gammon of Nixa; daughter, Brooklyn, step-daughter, Emma, daughter Audrey; his parents, Alan and Andrea Gammon of Clever, his sister Allison Hails and husband Adam of Clever, and his grandmother, Sue Gammon of Clever.

Aaron was preceded in death by his grandpa Jim Gammon and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Shirley Jenkins.

A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. All friends and family are invited to attend. A private funeral service for family only will be held on Friday, officiated by Pastor Tim Russell.

Bates County Memorial Hospital August Employee of the month

Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) recognizes Josh Sullins as the Employee of the Month for August. Josh has worked with BCMH as a registered radiologic tech in the imaging services department since 2014. Patients might see Josh when they come in for an X-ray, CT scan or MRI.

Josh’s friendly demeanor puts everyone at ease. His coworkers report: “Josh is always kind and compassionate toward our patients. He adjusts his tone and volume of voice for the patient he is caring for and goes out of his way to make patients feel heard and understood.

Whenever he isn’t busy performing procedures, he can often be found escorting a patient in the hallway. He’s willing to escort patients from other departments that have lost their way or just look like they need some company.

When Josh is with a patient or their family member, it’s easy to see he is giving them his full attention and providing excellent customer service. He is also friendly with coworkers and fun to work with, which makes everyone’s day a bit brighter.”

Josh is a valuable team member at BCMH, and he deserves this recognition.
