Dear Countywide Disposal Customers,

Dear Countywide Disposal Customers,

We want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. With the holiday season upon us, the volume of trash, and especially cardboard will increase.

Please help your hard working trashman this holiday season by breaking down your cardboard to fit all you can inside your trashcan. Some routes run with an automated truck; having to drive and get out several hundred times is very time consuming and tiring on a driver.
Routes will be running a day later this year the week of Christmas and New Years. If your trash day falls on a Friday, we will be by on Saturday.

Thank you kindly for your support as we greatly appreciate your loyalty to our Countywide Team.

Thank you,
Lee McLain

Benjamin J Salley, age 39, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at his home. He was born on March 22, 1984 in Jackson County, Missouri the son of Marilyn Moody and George Salley.

Since July 1, 2009 Ben received services through Twin Lakes Community Support Services. He was full of life and loved being the center of attention. Ben enjoyed going on walks in his red radio flyer wagon at the harbor and other areas around town. He loved waving at people.

You always knew when Ben was happy, he would throw his arms up in the air and do his silly little laugh. He enjoyed going to different animal parks, shopping at Menards so he could look at the fan and light displays. Ben enjoyed playing in the water at the splash pad and bathtime. He loved his blue bucket with bells and all of his variety of balloons (with the special elastic).

Ben loved watching music videos especially the song Black Betty which was always playing when you would go to visit him. He loved all of his toys, the multiple vibrating sensory toys were his favorite, but we had to make sure the batteries were always full throttle.

Ben was an avid fan of smelling things such as your hair, your clothes, or anything else he got his hands on. He loved to get his tennis shoes to go for a ride in the car and take staff's purses and hang them from his neck. Ben loved going to the bowling alley to play the race car game. Ben's smile, quirky sense of humor, grunts and yelling will be greatly missed.

Ben is preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Salley, his father George Salley, brother Justin Salley and brother Fisher Salley.

He is survived by one brother, Howard Salley of Warsaw, his guardian and all his friends and family from Twin Lakes Community Support Services.
